Dubayoo
If you go commerce/manufacturing, you can't build enough hospitals and recycling centers to contain pollution and disease. The existing cap seems rather arbitrary. 3 Quote My Avie: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/senna/ Shortened versions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9qZu7h5ys0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvVqSpS65VE
James XVI
I may be misremembering but wasn't that the original point - to try to limit how much someone could produce in each city due to unmanageable pollution? Dubayoo
Perhaps, but it's not very realistic. If people have the infrastructure to support expansion, they should be able to use it. It makes sense for natural resource extraction since there's only so many natural resources in a location. It also makes sense for military buildings due to the limits of command and control... ...but civil services are a normal part of urban sprawl and urban planning. Azaghul
I disagree. The current setup requires people to make choices and makes figuring out the optimal build more interesting and dynamic. It forces you, at high enough levels, to choose between more income and more resources. That's a good thing.

What do you think would happen if it was changed so a nation could have 0% disease and max production, the top 100 nations the whale states as they are called, would be able to flood the market with resources causing smaller nations to pretty much die out. When you are of an age as a Whale and loads of infra Commerce is king but when your young small city count max production is worth more than commerce. So letting whales max everything out would kill smaller nations on the market of selling.
True King
I think each Hospital should reduce disease more. Maybe .5%-1% more.

Also, you don't have to be a whale to do this. Whales usually have 3000-3500+ infra, but having between 2000-2500 infra is good enough. Isn’t this just more of a reason why this shouldn’t be a thing.. prices of manus/raws would go insanely down. There’s no way imo that we would be able to use enough to counter the production. i think this cap is nice since it’ll keep prices from deflating and it gives some choice based on the economy on what to produce.
