ReuKinChe
As part of the defence pact signed with Poland-Lithuania, a number of coastal areas were put under partial USNE administration. This was done in order to facilitate a faster USNE response if Poland-Lithuania was attacked. Most significantly, the ports of Gdynia, Gdańsk, Kaliningrad and Klaipėda were included. While the land remains technically Polish and Lithuanian, both the USNE and Poland-Lithuania will reap the economic benefits of maritime trade and travel, which is increasing rapidly as the USNE grows wealthier. This new development puts the USNE in full or partial control of 25 of the 33 most significant Baltic ports.
