Death of a Don

The Vitalian SSI and the Carabinieri have launched a massive investigation tonight following the brazen gangland murders of Bracci clan Don Tussio Bilotti and his bodyguard and underboss Rufo Capuzzi in Naples by multiple assailants outside a nightclub.
According to eye witnesses, a white BMW SUV driven by Capuzzi parked in outside of the Rogue at around 6 pm local time. As Capuzzi and Bilotti exited the vehicle, 3 men wearing coats and scarves and armed with semiautomatic pistols ambushed the two men and opened fire, shooting Bilotti 5 times and Capuzzi 8 times in their upper bodies, with Bilotti himself receiving a bullet to the head. SSI agents recovered a Glock 17 pistol in Capuzzi's hand, which suggests he may have tried to defend himself but was too late. Meanwhile, Bilotti was found to be completely unarmed at the time.
Tussio Bilotti, who died at age 69, was Don of the Bracci clan for years one of the multiple Camorra clans which dominate Neapolitan organized crime. Sources say that he took control back in 2012 following the death of former Bracci clan boss Adalardo Mazzocchi, who just happened to be Bilotti's brother-in-law. It is worth noting that Bilotti was indicted for charges two weeks before his death, with the old man being charged with multiple counts of wire fraud, racketeering and obstruction of justice dating as far back as the 80's. Bilotti posted the 4 million lire bond and was out on bail at the time of death.
It was said that Bilotti made himself many enemies during his years as boss for his aloof nature and distaste for traditional Camorra activities such as murder, extortion and loansharking. Most surprisingly, he forbade involvement in the lucrative drug trade and ordered the deaths of many Bracci gangsters for violating this rule, whilst accepting drug money from loyal friends in his inner circle.
The Carabinieri has been deployed in large numbers throughout volatile neighborhoods in the city to provide some semblance of security to citizens and to deter potential retaliatory attacks, as the SSI investigation continues.
