Political Proposal to the British Internationale

It had been time to officially establish contact with the British Internationale, and see where each other stood. Whether they would be met with hostility, or peace, would be unknown. Before now, the Scottish people had been more or less content with their "occupation," only speaking out when asked. If a movement was to begin, they first had to establish if the British Internationale was going to open up political talks, or be an enemy. The new Queen couldn't just open up with force or aggression, the vast majority of their people were under British Rule, and in doing so may result in harm to the Scottish people.

The new Queen has loose ties to the Scottish nobility of old, but she did not force herself into the position. With the world taking its current course, it was proposed an independence should be tried for once again. She is young and inexperienced, but trying to be cordial and keep proper in the face of a massive empire.

With little in the way of technology, or the ability to get technical communications to the British Internationale, they sent a messenger via military patrol boat. An old design, whose weaponry would be no match for a single British military vessel and posing no threat, they hoped they would be met with kindness, and not the firm hand of the British Navy. The military vessel would be waving two flags; their national Scottish flag, and a ceremonial white flag.

It wasn't in the corporation's interests to officially interact with the new nation but diplomatic aircraft would be dispatched to Vágar Airport containing a gift basket of various citrus fruits, along with several rare selections of alcohol from a myriad of past times.

In the meantime while the country waited for the Diplomatic Representative to return, an aircraft was reported over one of Scotlands small islands. It appeared to be a civilian aircraft and requested to land. It was unscheduled and seemed to come from one of the other major powers of the world. With gifts... While it was very appreciated, the Queen still questioned this display of kindness. Of course it wasn't a statement of recognition or support, but identifying their existence makes them more solidified in the eyes of the world, and they hoped it wouldn't upset relations between them and the British Internationale.

The crew of the jet were praised and welcomed to Scotland, and the alcohol was drank almost on the spot as they couldn't resist showing their appreciation for the gift. It was ordered by the Queen, herself, once she heard, that the jet be refueled and resupplied at no cost. Obviously, they didn't really have the resources to spare, but one jet wouldn't harm their budget, and it was for a good cause. A gift was offered back to the crew of the jet, whether they accepted it personally or would take it to their leader(s), it wasn't specifically discussed unless asked. It was a metal Triskelion as big as the hand which could be used a large pin, medallion, or a special piece on a display shelf. When it was given, a diplomatic representative stated, "let us hope our two nations grow and progress in stability and prosperity." The medallion was made of the metal which came from Scotland. Meanwhile, the citrus fruits were taken to the Queen. She didn't have much interest in the alcohol, which benefited her people. They would be added to her meals, or she would bite at them here and there should they not need to be in a recipe.

Members of the Navy of the Internationale would open up a way for an entrance through the Thames river, after an inspection of the crew, their intention and their carriage,  and immediately the ships would return to their original position, blockading or better said preventing anyone escaping the to or out of the river. The guidelines for the entrance were strict, and all potential objects that could harm a person were confiscated until the envoy ship left the Thames. The boat was put on hold until a police escort was organized in a short matter of time, following the ship by land from both sides of the river, till they reached the port leading up to the capital. The police escort consisted of 4 bikers, 2 vehicles and a helicopter with special forces as the passengers there. A black Mercedes-Benz S550, a very luxurious sedan, is awaiting the foreign diplomat with the police, to be driven to the meeting point, the building previously known as the Palace of Westminster, but now poses as the central committee meeting point, it also has many rooms for diplomatic talks between the Internationale and nations whom have no direct line to the Internationale or an embassy.

Representative for the Internationale on these talks, Sid Avery, is awaiting the foreign emissary at the previously mentioned meeting point, with a continous defensive effort with an addition in the view of SAS service men dressed in the clothing of guards of Westminster, which have a similar style of the 1980s Soviet Uniforms.

The representative ordered the crew of the ship to stand down once they were intercepted, and agreed to the search and relinquished their weapons. The few crew members only had pistol sidearms, nothing much towards fighting an entire army, and certainly not enough to fight off an enemy to get the representative to safety out of a hostile country. It was just standard issue self-defense weapons. The representative seemed chipper all the while, but it may have just been a mask. There was a lot of fear for the crew, as they were part of a government that spoke out against the British Internationale, and could be taken into custody, or worse, but the representative didn't seem to mind. He knew the risks, but he feared more for the safety of the young men watching over him. He did, however, enjoy the luxurious transport offered to him,and took in the comfort of the vehicle before finally arriving to the meeting place. Should one of the Patrol Boat Crew Members be allowed to join the representative, he would join him in the ride. However, there would have been no pressure, and the representative would have stated he would be fine in an attempt to calm the crew if he had to leave alone. The remainder stayed in their boat and awaited the representatives return.

The representative from Kingdom of Scotland would be an older gentleman named Morgan MacAonghais, an individual who has had some experience in diplomatic exchanges, but they were from a time long past. He was the most trusted of the Queen to carry out this task, and the most kind who would hopefully keep the British calm during talks. Once he was escorted into the building which he assumed would be where the talks would be had, he approached an individual he assumed to be the other negotiator on behalf on the British Internationale. "Guid efternuin," Morgan smiled, reaching his hand out to shake the mans hand, "you'd be the one I'd be speaking to, then?" He had a welcoming and friendly attitude. After all, they still had been the same government and probably neighbors for years. Morgan didn't see an occupier or enemy, just another man on the same island. He hoped he could get a friendly attitude in return, but it wasn't required for negotiations, of course.

"Yes I am the representative" replied Sid Avery, shaking the Scottish representatives hand, and then using the same exact hand to signal him to follow Sid into the former palace. The doors of the palace would be opened by Sid dramatically as he pushed them hard and his hands stayed in the air showing the magnificence of the architecture. The Guards would enter afterwards and Sid would start walking towards the conference room, as the protection was surrounding them. As they reached the door leading into the diplomatic chamber, Sid, to show a bit respect, he presented with his arms a signal for him to enter before Sid, and afterwards Sid himself would follow in. Two guards were kept outside, while 4 were towering the two diplomats in each corner. On the opposite side of the entrance Sid was sitting, he pulled in a small chair where he would put up his legs. Under the steel table was an ashtray which he would pull out and put on the table, presenting two Churchill cigars to the table, saying "We are all human her, but we are also gentelmen, grab one" By that, Sid took out his lighter from his pocket, lighting it, then putting the lighter away. As he was tired he'd put one arm in a right angle on the table while his head leaned on his hand, and the typical hat Sid wore covered the fingers. He'd pull a smoke and with the cigar smoke in him he'd ask "So what brings you here, foreigner" in a deep voice.

Morgan smiled as he saw the notion to follow after shaking the mans hand, walking in behind him. He seemed to walk with a stiff hip, but he did his best not to show it. He could see that the man wanted to show off the building they were in, and it was true, it was a thing of beauty. He may not have lived here in awhile, but he remembered it all the same. He had idled for a moment, looking around and falling into nostalgia and memories in his old age before realizing Sid was again gesturing to him. Attempting to apologize but keeping it silent, coming off as almost a cough, but the gesture was well recognized, he proceeded inside. Morgan made no attempts to to an active role until he was given the floor, giving respect to the representative of the country he was walking within. But he smiled from ear to ear like an old man being praised with rare gifts when Sid offered him a cigar. He eagerly took it and puffed a few times on it, remembering the Queen not liking smoking within her chambers, nor her 'castle,' for that matter. It was delicious, and he was losing his sense of self again as he took it all in until Sid, once again, got his attention. However, his response may have been unexpected for Sid, as he tilted his head at the man, confused in his words before giving a silent laugh which turned into a cough, not from the smoke, surprisingly. "Let me say," he started off grinning, "thank you for allowing me to return," he huffed, "the name is Morgan MacAonghais, and I'm terribly surprised you called me a foreigner." He bared his teeth and his cheeks raised like he was about to have a giggling fit, "sir, while I do not currently reside in Britain, you must know I was born and raised here. Of course, in Northern Britain, but still." He closed his lips and looked down, now somewhat in disappointment as his memories came back to him, "there was a time we would have possibly called each other mates." He took another puff and shrugged, leaning back into his seat, looking at the guards and understanding where he was, what Britain was now, "but I digress... I'm here on behalf of the Queen of Scotland... whether you recognize her or our request for independence, I'm here to plead for peace, and if possible, negotiate for freedom of our homeland - Scotland. We present no threat to you or Britain, but I'm sure our push for independence may cause issues in the yes of the world towards you, and we apologize for that. But I am here to clarify; the Queen does not want to fight, and will do her best to keep peace between us. After three-hundred years, there's no reason that we can't stay brothers."

"I do agree that every peoples need their freedom, like for the freedom our state fought against monarchs that were here before, and it should be clear that we won't be giving away any land to you. That land might have been inhabited by Scots but now no one cares who what is, irish, scottish, english, we are all united under the same cause. Now you might think we'd take you and your crew away on a journey to some camps where youd never see a brink of sunlight because of your ambitions and idealistix beliefs. But, nah. We stopped doing that on autocrats and only dealt with nationalists that way. It may seem that we want you gone, you have the right to do so. Not because of the expenses or an international uproar, we just dont see why we should do that on a state that means no harm. Now, the picture is clear. We dont bomb you except with necessary resources to preserve your existence, and that is going very far and the furthest point to which we would go is making some deal on which your people could traverse the northern parts of the Internationale, but there will be no land transferships, as there are no more Scots, nor are there Englanders or Welsh. And it is to stay so, its better that way for everyone."

"Well, I see trying to open up diplomatic relations with our brothers was a waste of time..." he sighed, taking another puff of the cigar, "trying to convince you that not every single person in the British Internationale does not believe in your government or your statement that 'there is no such thing as Irish, Scottish, or English anymore' would also be a waste of time. It is like you've tossed away your heritage and sense of family... Well, I guess I would do better by not insulting you further. You've demolished my initial reason to be here before I could even attempt it. I suppose... May we have free communications to the rest of the world? Our communication infrastructure connects to Britain. That's the only other question I really had."

"Nor does everyone belive in scottish unity. The point of our ideal is that no one is superior or inferior to the other. Its for cooperation with the people, benefitial. Yes you might have free communication. I'd like to add if you desired extra defence and that if you want the Internationale to take up the partial role of defending your homeland... 'brother' "

Morgan shrugged with a grimaced face, "no one feels anyone is superior. We chose a Monarchy as per our heritage. We may grow to a Democratic state or even a Communist one, but we deserve to grow. The English dominated and occupied us and gave us no chance at development. You still believe a man has a right to grow, do you not? And you can question our choice to a monarchy or even question the legitimacy or ability of our monarchy, but we still have the power of choice amd freedom to change, and should they not be fit for leadership, we'll change. But..." Morgan looked down for a moment, taking a breath and then drawing attention to the cigar he was given, "I do apologize, I didn't come here to argue or berate you. As you said, we're gentlemen, and you've so far been cordial and I have not. I'm just a stubborn old man. It's appreciated you offer defense, but I believe we will have to decline. We are going to want self-sufficiency at some point so we can better grow and develop ourselves. But Scotland is real, and its people are real. We were suffocated and choked before we were able to truly find ourselves. Don't take my words as blaming you or any Englishmen, but we have always wanted our freedom and rights. We will have them... one day."

"As I already mentioned, we acknowledge your existence and passion for liberty and that day may come on day but I am sure that this generation will not live up to see that. We also respect your decision on declining and we have offered you protection and aid to have you developed but alas, we offer you a helping hand and you want the whole arm. If you want anything more to add on to this conversation, feel free, otherwise I think we are done"

"That analogy would make sense, if the arm was ours to begin with. But, I do agree with you. It won't be this generation, at least from a willingness on both our parts. Rest assured, we are thankful for your kindness, but there are reasons I, and the Queen, can not allow military and industrial access to your people. But, we will give the benefit of the doubt, and allow travel, should your people seek it, even if at a time you disallow us access to our home. You are still family, and that is why we no longer have the hatred of the past. Don't let us regret that." Morgan finished what he wanted from the cigar and put it down, slowly standing like his hips were aching and straightened himself and his attire. He offered a handshake, "as long as you are willing, I'm ready ta leave. I'm sorry this meeting could not have gone more prosperous."
