Inaccurate attack report

I performed a naval attack, my 75 ships versus my opponent's 2 ships...

I was surprised I lost any ships, but when I went to re-buy the loss, my nation reportedly still had all 75 ships. The naval attack report lied. Link to the war timeline

So I wondered what the API reported about this war and discovered that it reports I have lost 5 ships, reflecting the attack reports in the war timeline which I know 1 of the 2 was inaccurate. Link to this war's API output

This brings to question the accuracy and reliability of the war stats many compile using the API. I often pay little attention to whether or not my re-buys match apparent losses, so I cannot say if the previous naval attack report was accurate or not, but I will be sure to study my losses more carefully in future to see how far this bug extends.
