Currently, the most major issue is the war with the Lumian Empire. They caught us by surprise, and although we've regained an advantageous position, there are still major humanitarian issues, as well as the need to rebuild after the war is over. We'll probably have those issues largely under control by the end of this year, and then we'll be able to revert to everyday life. When it comes to everyday life, we don't have too many issues. We've got excellent healthcare, and plenty of food and water to go around. One of the issues we faced a few years ago was the rise of AI, which was thought would cause mass unemployment. But we prepared for it, and so like in the Digital Revolution, we just found new jobs to do. Currently, there's the threat of stronger AIs, which is why we're investing heavily in brain augmentation, to keep up with our digital counterparts. As for dependency on technology, that's just the sacrifice one makes for progress. I know you're probably not an anarcho-primitivist, so you'd largely agree with me, but to make a better world, technology is often needed, resulting in increased dependency on technology. If we didn't depend on technology, we'd just have our bodies, and we'd still be hunted by animals in the savannah. Inventing, tinkering, learning: these are all part of what it is to be human. To ensure that our dependence on technology doesn't ultimately hurt us, we shouldn't cease to depend on it. We should instead make it more dependable.
