Eden Initiative: An Umbrella Project

With money flowing in the Initiative, the Umbrella Corporation has started constructing 150 windmills, 10 nuclear power, while recycling of all materials has been made mandatory. Unfortunately, the current landfills have been deemed to toxic to attempt a scavenging of recyclable resources and materials, so a new heating system will be created to help assist the degrade of the landfills. Using toxic garbage from the landfills will be sent to heating stations and burned, which will be then vented to air purification systems to remove toxic particles left from the burning of the garbage, and then the remaining air left, will be clean heated air to be sent to homes around the Company. The Company expects to see landfill sizes to decrease in large numbers as the Company will plan to cut out all non-renewable fuel systems to be used for heating systems by the time the Heating Stations are built and connected to the current lines used by Natural Gas.

 

Carbon Tax

All manufacturing plants will start paying a Carbon Tax of 43.5%, with devices being required to monitor how much Greenhouse gases are pumped out of their factories into the atmosphere. The goal is to have the manufacturing industry to find new greener methods to manufacture and handling of the byproducts created from manufacturing. To keep businesses from leaving Corporate lands, the businesses who pay this tax shall receive benefits, and companies who actively research and show promising development to the problem of Man made pollution shall receive subsidiaries to help fund these developments, which would cover the Carbon Tax and gain a net profit of 1.2 Million annually from subsidiaries.

 

Water Sustainability

The Umbrella Corporation, through the Eden Initiative, shall start programs to improve water quality and lower its water consumption. Polluted water will be going through extensive cleaning processes and once all rivers, lakes and any source of water in Umbrella's borders have been cleaned, strict regulations shall be enacted to ensure the water stays purified and safe to human consumption, and safe for the local wildlife that live in these environment. The company will be placing a tax rate of 84% on businesses who dump industrial waste in the water source, any businesses who completely end their dumping into water supply shall receive annual payment of 2.5 million for 5 years, and once 5 years hit, the subsidiary is ended, however their Carbon Tax will go down to 40%.
