I'm sure you've gotten a ton of e-mails or other notifications about websites updating their privacy policies in response to the new GDPR law going into effect in the European Union.

Well, I figured I'd jump on the wagon as well. Honestly, I'm not sure the law necessarily applies to the game, seeing as we're less than 250 employees, and don't meet most of the other requirements set forth in the law (we don't process any payment info, or really store any of your personal information) but I figured I'd see what I can do to get us in line with the regulation.

As such, I've spent some time and revamped the Privacy Policy. You can find the updated Privacy Policy here: https://politicsandwar.com/privacy/

Here is a copy of the new privacy policy as well:

Red Road Entertainment LLC Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://politicsandwar.com (the "Game"), related sub-domains such as http://test.politicsandwar.com (also the "Game"), as well as the official Politics and War Google Play Store applications for Android devices also (the "Game").

SECTION 1: PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Game, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you use the Game, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Game, and information about how you interact with the Game. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Game, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and PayPal account information. We refer to this information as “Order Information.” All Credit Card, bank, and other financial information is stored and processed by PayPal, and the Game does not have access to or otherwise store this information.

Users of the Game have the option to become "Verified" in the Game. This process, known as "Verification", is completely optional, and is never required to play the Game. The Verification process requires sending a personal photograph of the user via email to the Game, which is stored on an offline server. This information, including photographs, are used only to ensure that a single person is not operating multiple accounts. This Verification information is never made public, will never be sold, and should the Game ever be sold at a future date, all Verification information will be destroyed. Verification information is not kept after a user quits the Game or deletes their Game account.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about all kinds of information outlined in SECTION 1.

SECTION 2: HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Game (including arranging for issuance of digital goods and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you; Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

SECTION 3: SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
