Many years ago a large successful nation known as Gran Pulse existed, it emerged in South America.
It quickly grew and expanded across the South American continent becoming a major power in the world, within years it was the dominant power in the world as shown in this old map 

 

 

It was a highly advanced civilization that was destined to take over the world. In the nation's moment of triumph however it was cut down by a god and banished forever into the abyss with Diabolos. It suffered greatly in the abyss for many long years. When all hope seemed lost its leader Lightning emerged from the shadows and cut down the beast Diabolos, she consumed the beast thus stealing his powers. With these new powers she made a tear in the abyss allowing her nation back into the world. She tore another tear into the realm of the god who banished her and her people and decapitated him where he stood. 

Gran Pulse is reborn, rejoice. The Gran Pulisian people were no longer satisfied with South America so they decided to move to North America. Gran Pulse grew much since the time it was banished, it added 9 cities and and its GDP doubled.
Lightning's message to the world is this "we have returned, degenerates should hide as we will show no mercy"

Moving the location of your nation is no simple task, while in the abyss the leaders of each of the cities in Gran Pulse knew they needed to make their cities movable so they began implementing advanced rocket powered technology under the cities to lift them up. Each city would have a bridge to navigate and control the city when it is on the move. When Gran Plus was freed from the abyss the cities propelled themselves up and began their move to their new location in North America. The cities spread out across their new found land and began to flourish again. 

And so began the second great purge...
Just like when Gran Pulse first emerged in South America it sent its military out to exterminate and control the local indigenous people, they did the same with the people in North America. They began rounding up the people, castrating the men and forcing them to work on the infrastructure in this new land. The elderly were taken to an old facility located where Gran Pulse use to be and dumped there. The women were taken as whores to breed a new generation of whores and workers. 

Lightning's Statement: Today we regain what we lost, we will flourish like never before. We will make Gran Pulse great again!
