Custom test server tournament

With 1 credit the leader of an alliance is able to create a private test server tournament where every player of his alliance can join, max 1 week of tournament, max 1 tournament per month

In this way we can have fun during peace time and alliances can use these tournaments to teach new players

He also can customize the nations, the goal, the speed:

-Select the city count, starting infra, starting land, starting resources, starting units, the same for every player or different for every player (for example you can set that every player starts with the exact copy of the nation he has in game)

-Select the goal to win like the player with most infra destroyed wins, the highest score wins, most cities, most money looted, most *insert unit* destroyed, etc.

-Select the speed, 1 turn every 2 hours like the game, 1 turn every hour, 1 turn ever half hour like the test server

-Other options like market enabled, no option to create alliances, no option to create new cities or projects, etc.

That's a really good idea, however don't forget that most alliances have only a couple dozen members at most. Maybe an option for public joining and/or password protected joining so littler alliances can invite other players too? Not to mention the possibility for alliance vs. alliance duels! BK/KT/TKR/NK/OK battle royale for the honor of the word 'knight' when? (actually do that in main server already, what's the holdup? you know you want to)

Either way, as long as only official tournaments include official ingame awards, I'm liking the idea. (nobody's saying don't include prizes :3) Sheepy, on the other hand, might take one look at the workload involved and vomit ?

Man, this'd be a really good place to implement those NPC nations too, if naught else but as an option to pad the population.

If you make possible fighting with players outside your alliance there's the risk that it becomes the real server, why spending months in city building and warchest when you can do wars in the test server?

Well, you said it yourself: Max one week of tournament, max one tournament per month.

However, since there's only one test server, we'd need to keep demand down. This could be done with a waiting list, or holding tournament timeslots at auction for more credits, only the top 25 alliances can sponsor tournaments, etc.

 

...You know, if you really wanted to, you could set up a TKR tournament right now. Test server registration is open and there's only half a dozen Pirate Kings playing, and we're up at the 12 city range. I won't bite ?

Much prefer the separate tournament server rather than min tournies.
