For now on our oil will be stored for future use latter while we also research alternitves sorces of fuel that way we aren't totaly dependent on the world market." Just Monika Posted April 11, 2018 Share Posted April 11, 2018 An open diplomatic communique was sent to Salazarstan, trying to explain that: The amount of oil Arabia has is way more than its people need, especially if they try to also exploit non-fossil fuel sources. Arabia's dependency on imports mostly was in areas other than fuel, like food or agricultural produce that just would not grow in the desert climate of the peninsula. This dependency on the world market would not be fixed by not selling oil. That the best use for oil to help the Arabian people, would be if it was sold to generate revenue for the state to finance its imports and to finance structural reforms for diversification of the economy. Nothing would be fixed by reducing the value of Arabian oil to nothing by letting it pile up in storages, leaving the Arabian economy to continue running on dates, goats and pilgrim tourism only... oh wait, that last one might have become an issue too... guess dates and goats only. It was hoped that Salarstan would see the error in its ways, act responsibly and stop behaving like some edgy teen that has no clue how things work in the world.
