Aesir Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 The Cheyenne Mountain Complex was the most important military base in the Great State, for it was home of the Governor's Fleet. The GSS William was the first Dreadnought built by the Great State. It was a top of the line warship and flagship of the new fleet. There it was docked, waiting for a time where its guns would be called upon. With the strange news coming from the east it was suspected that the fleet would be needed sooner rather than later. Two sailors sat playing cards inside the port. It was quiet with the hum of machinery filling the air. One of the sailors sighed. "What even are we doing here?" "Orders, we need to always be ready to man the ship." He played his hand causing his opponent to sigh. "After all the Governor's Fleet is necessary for protection of our home." "I didn't join the Militia just to sit in a boring mountain." Just them red lights began to flash and an officer walked into the room. The two sailors stood and saluted. "Admiral Nimitz! What's happening?!" "Confirmed reports of hostile creatures in the Eastern part of the continent. The Governor's Fleet is to begin patrols to protect our airspace.
