Basically.

This is outright slander, without any actual proof that you have failed to provide.  If you weren't already in the hole, this would be enough for a CB, or perhaps we'll keep it for the next one....

Keep in mind, you're still doing damage by making them rebuild those young new cities to preserve their other cities as best as possible.

Which would be great, IF that was indeed happening...

Alex said it was an artifact bug, as in he doesn't know how it got there but it was a bug.

having one city with more infra then others is hardly and exploit,  buying infra for your youngest city so it could be nuked away isn't an exploit either, solution: ban people from buying infra during wars, is basically pointless. How are whales going to blow their WC for you then, next you be crying about people buying too much land to lessen the nuke damage even further?

Automatic nuke hit on anything else than your choosen target is a problem though, if it even happened.

So is a good strategy now being considered exploiting?

Yeah mate, it's all an exploit that devs/admins need to crack down on to make the game great for once again.

In paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Ierusalem.
Chorus angelorum te suscipiat, et cüm Lazaro quondam paupere æternam habeas requiem.

My understanding was nukes auto-targeted the cities with the highest infra. I'm not sure if Placentica is making something up here, but today I just launched a nuke at a non-highest-infra city and it worked just fine.

It's not an exploit, but it's a bug.  Some nations are having issues with targeting.  They'll target a different city, but it'll still hit the original auto targeted city.

I wanted to be charitable and allow for the possibility he'd just misinterpreted some data and jumped to a conclusion. Which is bad enough when you start accusing people. But since it's demonstrably false and he's so far unwilling to walk back from it, it's looking more and more like spreading deliberate misinformation to hurt and discredit other players.

Well Alex did say he fixed it, so I would hope it'd do that for you now!

I see two problems here:

1) We are consistently smarter than this game, and whenever we prove it, Alex looks for ways to keep people from outsmarting him. This is not a winning strategy long-term.

2) Alpha are the sorest, whiniest losers this game has ever known. Their entire strategy is to lose with lots of fireworks. Virtually every member of Alpha has terrible, terrible kill/death stats. Have they ever actually won a war?

It's not fair to paint the rest of Alpha with the same brush. But on that note, Placentica needs to show some leadership here and take responsibility for the reputation fallout from his actions. There's good people under him who aren't at fault here.
