A small crowd had been waiting at the square in front of the half demolished manor, the old residence of the Swedish monarchy. The young Prince Ciel was seated on a makeshift stage, right on the steps towards the now abandoned building. To the side, a band played the Swedish national anthem. Despite the damaged instruments and the bad tuning, the anthem still played, while everyone else stood in silence. After a few minutes, the newly crowned King, Ciel Wolf, stood up, to give his coronation speech. “My father was a great man. He was able to lead this Kingdom from a small country taking up the entirety of Sweden, to an empire stretching from Russia to Iceland, and even North America and the Far East at once point. However...he was also a stubborn man, refusing to allow even the slightest bit of leniency towards those who weren’ t Swedish. The end result was a war that we could have easily lost without foreign aid. Our population has been decimated, and armed forces destroyed. As your new ruler, I will not let this happen again, even if it involves reducing my own power.” The crowd looked up at him with a many looks ranging from curiosity to worriness, as he paused for a brief moment. “I, King Ciel Wolf, last heir of the Franco-Swedish monarchy, declare that we will not called Swedish anymore. We will include the Norwegians, the Finnish, the Danish, the Icelanders and everyone who wishes to join us in building another great empire in Northern Europe. We will be called Scandinavians” Almost instantaneously, a number of audience, mostly the non-Swedish, started to clap and applaud for the king. The rest however, stayed silent. “Our new Scandinavia will not be an absolute monarchy that it was for over two years. Now, it will be a federal monarchy, where each state will have it’s own governor who will decide everything that happens internally. However, any affairs that affect all of us as a whole, such as diplomacy, military and economic matters, will still be handled by me.” The crowded continued to murmur, but some started to nod in agreement as the king continued. “With the change of government, I am sure that many other countries will have mixed feelings towards us. But I will do my best to ensure that we can maintain our old alliances and even forge new ones as well . Our military will be rebuilt to not only it’s original size, but to to an even larger one, with greater assets and equipment so that another civil war can be prevented.’’ “However, most importantly is the need to rebuild. However resilient we are, we still can’t do everything ourselves. This is why I am formally requesting for financial, material and personnel assistance from not only the European Community, but the Global Community as well. While the Federal Government of Germany embroiled Germany in the civil war, I am as determined to President Laurens to our commitments in Sweden. The German Minister of Defense and I will be glad to host the new King of Sweden to attend our new Memorial to the European Union and to discuss military support to Sweden. As 15,000 German Troops remain in Kiel and Stockholm, we are prepared to withdraw by November. The Council has also agreed to send 4.7 Billion Deutches Kronens to Sweden to assist in rebuilding. Already 32 Billion Kronens have been sent to Sweden including German rebuilding of Copenhagen German Citizens also began their own campaign for Regional Autonomy based on Ethnicity. Just as Zafri, Emperor Lelouch is determined to work alongside Sweden on the global stage. In order to help boost Sweden from the civil war, a rare package of 2 Billion Britannian Dollars would be sent to help fix their economy and country. Fukuda Kazuma Posted September 4, 2017 Author Share Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) Statement from King Ciel Wolf I would like to personally thank the governments of the Holy Britannian Empire, German Britannia and the Nova Empire for the amazing support and aid in rebuilding this once great empire. In total, we have received over 300 Billion Scandinavian Krona worth of foreign aid and materials to aid in construction. All of our nuclear power plants have been relatively undamaged in the war and after a few minor repairs, we're able to reopen each one of them, allowing every city to be powered and making reconstruction efforts far more easier. We were also able to rebuild our armed forces, although still small, to secure the country and stop any unlawful protests and riots from occurring. Once again, me and and my country would like to thank everyone for their support. All of you will have my everlasting gratitude.
