Due to Grosskomtur Victor residing in Königsberg Castle, and Thalmor in Jerusalem, it was decided that both should meet in Lisbon, Portugal. This was a fair middle ground that both happily agreed to- especially with the Reconquista ending and Christianity dominating the Iberian Peninsula. Victor boarded the ship at Riga, which was delayed due to a storm. The ship was then blown off course after passing through the Skagerrak, and then experienced a minor crash with a French ship in the English Channel, necessitating repairs in a French port. After that was finished, they continued on their way but had to make another stop and forcefully unload some crew who contracted a disease while they were in France while repairs were being made. Finally, am emergency stop was made in Santander to buy extra provisions as the ship’s quartermaster mysterious disappeared, and the on-board supplies were subsequently mismanaged. Despite all these issues, Victor arrived safely in Lisbon at the same time as Grand Master Thalmor… …Who also had a bad time. Only a few miles outside of Jerusalem, a Sacaren raiding party ambushed Grand Master Thalmor and his party. Although suffering causalities (with Thalmor having taken a wound to the leg), the raiders were driven off, and Thalmor continued to Gaza, where he and his party embarked and began their travel west. Shortly after passing Crete, pirates attacked their ship and damaged it considerably (although the pirate were driven off). A storm in Sicily also caused the mast of the ship to collapse. Passing through the Strait of Gibraltar was also a challenge because some Muslim warbands in small ships harassed and attacked Thalmor’s ship. However, despite all these issues, Grand Master Thalmor made it safely to Lisbon as well… The meeting in Lisbon was great. Many cheers erupted when Grosskomtur Victor and Grand Master Thalmor announced to their respective cohorts that the two religious military orders were to be united under a hard, paper Cross. Deus Vult ______________________________________________________________ Crusader Compact:Article 1: Non-Aggression PactThe Knights Templar and the Teutonic Order agree to maintain peace with one another. Should there be an interruption of said peace, both parties will handle any and all correspondence in a private and timely manner.Article 2: Mutual DefenseThe Knights Templar and the Teutonic Order are obligated to aid each other in wartime should either of them be attacked and then subsequently request aid.Article 3: Intelligence SharingShould either the Knights Templar or Teutonic Order learn of any information that may be relevant to the other's security situation, then the holder of information must inform the other in a swift and direct manner through secure channels.Article 4: CancellationThe Knights Templar and the Teutonic Order hold the right to withdraw from this treaty as they desire. Upon either party wishing to do so, they must give a 72 hour notice beforehand. ______________________________________________________________ We forgot to sign the damn thing before we got back on our ships and headed home, but I'm sure somebody from the Teutonic Order can send a messenger on horseback to confirm this.
