Q: What is the age limit for marriage?

18, but 16 year-olds can get married with parential consent. Among the upper class in Evenstar society, minors are usually put into arranged marriages, which are controversial.

2. Is divorce legal? After becoming a widow? If yes, in what way is it treated by citizens?

Divorce is frowned upon greatly. The death of the spouse is viewed as a termination of the marriage.

3. Is homosexual marriage legal? If yes, how is it treated by citizens?

No. It's greatly frowned upon.

4. Is sex before marriage legal? Frowned upon?

Yes and yes.

5. What is your country's people's attitude towards marriage?

Marriage, alongside having children, is viewed as the end point of any romantic relationship between a male and female. Youth are generally - but not universally - encouraged to spend their mid and late teenage years finding out what traits they like in the opposite sex, and to be married in their early twenties. There is no social stipulation to not be married at an older age, though.

6. How do they propose? With what? Are women allowed to propose?

By presenting an engagement ring. Yes, but it's frowned upon somewhat (not in a grave way, though, like homosexuality).

7. Is parental approval needed?

Only if one of the partners is underage (18).

8. Who takes the last name?

The woman does. While men are free to take the woman's last time, it's frowned upon (except in cases in which the woman is more 'prestigious' than the man. In upper Evenstar society, the man taking the woman's last name is uncommon but happens in a higher ratio than regularly).

9. Are weddings private or large parties? Both?

Generally large as marriages are viewed as two families coming together. However, small weddings do frequently occur.

10. Are wedding expensive?

This comes down to who's getting married. Evenstar weddings can be very cheap or very lavish. Marriages in the upper classes are almost always expensive, though.

11. What do the spouses wear at their wedding day?

The man will usually wear a suit. The woman will usually have a very Victoria, colored dress with decorations.

12.  Where are party weddings held (if you said yes)?

Almost universally in churches, but some marriages in the Evenstar's upper class will have them in lavish, massive family homes.

13. Where are private weddings held (if you said yes)?

Same as above.

14. What sort of music is usually played?

Anything and everything.

15. How is the ("I Do") ceremony played out? Do they kiss?

By presenting vows and having the marriage recognized by a minister before having rings exchanged. Yes.

16. Are afterparties common? Are they separated by gender or not?

Yes and no.

17. If yes, what is done at afterparties?

Lots of food and sometimes lots of drinking.

18. What kind of lovers are YN's people?

Traditional gender roles are enforced heavily in the culture. Outside of that, men are usually expected to show affection through actions, and women are to be doting.

19. Is sexual activity strictly for making children or also for pleasure and bonding?

Both.

20. Is rape recognized in marriage as a crime?

It's heavily circumstancial, but generally no.

21. Are there limits to how many children they can have?

Nope. In fact, married couples are encouraged to have as many children as possible (responsibily, of course).

22. Is your leader married?

Widowed

23. What is a common pickup line?

Pickup lines generally aren't used due to how ineffective they are. As part of The Evenstar's practical culture, men will generally just approach women with a simple 'hello' or something to that effect.

1. What is the age limit for marriage?

17 , for both genders.

2. Is divorce legal? After becoming a widow? If yes, in what way is it treated by citizens?

Yes, but there are terms and conditions.

Divorce can be given by the court if  :

- One from the married couple have been through domestic violence

- One from the married couple died, because of accident

- Other than those, or any divorce request that has a ridiculous reason, it won't be given.
