Popular Post Rozalia
Sending his commanders off with a wave Lordship settled back into his castle. Unlike his former master Don Juan who would at least lead his armies from the very back, Lordship would not even command his armies at all and instead relaxed in his Castle. Sabriel swiftly moved towards Baskor country, absorbing more troops from BoC, tTO, BK, Syndicate and others into his ranks along the way. With such a large force his command of it became unwieldy and he was forced to slow his vanguard several times to allow the main force to catch up. Finally reaching Baskor, from where he would launch his wave of attacks he set up an array of camps which due to his numbers was massively long and due to his incompetence could not communicate effectively with one another. Due to this when Warmaster Prefontaine arrived and attacked the central camp, only a section of it mobilised to defend it while the others lay inert. Sabriel not even aware of the attack continued to play his billiards with the local boys as he known to do until finally he heard some commotion and assumed it was some drunk louts in his army causing trouble, a common issue due to Sabriel's lack of command. Leaving his tent he approached the nearby horseman and admonished him. The horseman, Betulius, turned with surprise and in an instant out of the shock of seeing the enemy commander in front of him decapitated the bungling Sabriel. The other camps eventually noticed the main one had fallen and immediately began to flee, buying Warmaster Prefontaine much needed time before the attacks began in earnest and next time by an army not commanded by Sabriel. *On the Shamian plains* "Commander Rahl all forces are now accounted for. Our scouts are also reporting that the enemy sits unmoving behind their barricades and appear to have a lot of projectile weaponry stocked", reported Buorhann who was second to LordRahl2 in the campaign. LordRahl2 incensed at what he heard began to rattle off, "Foolish fool spouting foolish foolishness, just as I expect of a foolish fool such as you. How many times must I tell you people? You are to refer to me as Great Sage Rahl. Not commander! Not general! Not anything else! I'm not like you or the other riff-raff, I'm a person of higher learning and I will be addressed as such". Buorhann shocked by the reaction was quick to apologise. "Well... don't worry, foolish fools will make these errors as its only natural. Anyway tell the soldiers formally belonging to GPA and Pantheon to charge the enemy position with reckless abandon". Buorhann dared question this reckless order, "But we have information that the enemy is well armed and will likely repulse such a basic charge. Should we not try to use some strategy to weaken the enemy? ... that is if you don't mind me asking Great Sage Rahl" LordRahl2 laughed heartily in response, "Oh I forgot that such foolish fools would not be able to comprehend my great plan. It is true that the worthless cattle that we tell to charge will be killed in great numbers but you see... their bodies will pile up in great numbers and form barricades of our own. When our main force goes in under the cover of our new barricades the enemy will be powerless for their projectiles will be absorbed by the dead mass of those who previously charged. I know what you are thinking already. Only the Great Sage Rahl could think of such a genius tactic Ha Ha!" The Roz Wei and Arrgh forces were armed behind their barricades with a new type of weapon, a Repeating Crossbow called the Roz-ko-nu which was invented by the Son of Heaven himself, and could fire 3 crossbow bolts at the same time which was an attribute that made it devastating when fired into such a mass of bodies as the enemy possessed. The enemy charge was easily repulsed and the enemy lost great numbers. Their commander, Gills, in his anger at having lost charged once again and was killed dead by several bolts. Many others fell alongside him. By the time the main force finally charged the Roz Wei-Arrgh forces had ran out of munitions to fire, they had killed so many. "Did I not say my plan was genius!? The enemy is Rozalia so he is at least smart enough to know there is not even any point in continuing to fire his projectiles at us", proclaimed LordRahl2 to his officers. Outnumbered greatly the battle to come was bloody and great losses were dealt to Roz Wei and Arrgh. After several hours of fighting Warmaster Prefontaine appeared on the battlefield with massive enemy forces led by Kayser in hot pursuit. Cutting his way past Rahl's forces he entered past the barricades which signalled the retreat back to the ships to transport them away from the battlefield. The TKR navy intercepted but was destroyed.
