By far my favorite memory of the old war system was Clarke's forum meltdown.

Let's be fair here, he literally (not figuratively) told us this was coming circa ~now. People will find reasons to !@#$ and blame Sheepy regardless of w/e state the game is in. 

 

I also enjoyed an Alpha dude msging me to tell me Partisan was a sex offender in the tS/TEst vs Alpha war.

I enjoyed way back when tanks gave a ridiculous score boost and there were no recruitment limits. Terrible system, granted, but it was fun trying to fight over the top five with people who had vastly more economic power than me, but much fewer tanks

I ate a couple more nukes.

 

Or perhaps buying the nuke project and not once ever using it.

 

 

As promised, new war declarations have been frozen. Once all active wars have come to an end, the new war update will be deployed live, along with the Alliance Treasure Bonus change.

Mensa adapted so much in the old war system, and joining up with Syndicate then having Memph take over Guardian really sparked up our thinktank.  Here's to it happening again!  Thinking up all sorts of strats for the new one.  Granted we'll see how it goes, given there will most likely be lots more changes to balance it out...  which will be annoying.

After tbh, I've given up on us ever having a good war system. 3 years and still waiting on him actually fixing something.

This was a high point, but I also really enjoyed beiging the top 10 on my own without receiving a single counter declaration and very few counter attacks in those wars. Fun times.
