Popular Post Sailor Jerry
Today in the U.S. it's Veteran's Day. A day where we show our respect and gratitude to all veterans both past and present. Being a 20 year U.S. Navy retiree myself, I'd like to offer my gratitude and thanks to not only all the U.S. armed forces, but to all military personal from all around the world. Thanks for doing what you did and to those who are continuing with there service. Those still in service, take care, keep your heads on a swivel, keep your wits about you and with all hope, you'll leave your military service the way you came in. For those who have paid a heavy price for their service due to injury, you have my deepest respects. To those who have paid the ultimate price.....I really have no words to express my most heart-felt sympathies and gratitude. So, if see a vet or a person in uniform, please thank them for their service.

Frederick
Also, I would like to add. Instead of just saying your thanks to a veteran, consider buying them a drink or something to go a step further. To all those I can't thank personally, thank you for your service to our wonderful country. Quote "Your cattle will die, your friends will die, you will die. But your reputation, if it is good, will never die." -excerpt from the Havamal "We are born into this time and must bravely follow the path to the destined end. There is no other way. Our duty is to hold on to the lost position, without hope, without rescue, like that Roman soldier whose bones were found in front of a door in Pompeii, who, during the eruption of Vesuvius, died at his post because they forgot to relieve him. That is greatness. That is what it means to be a thoroughbred. The honorable end is the one thing that can not be taken from a man." -Oswald Spengler
Jose Rodriguez III
Your service is much appreciated as is the service of all veterans to their homelands. I have quite a few phone calls to make myself today, living in a Military family myself, though not having served personally(yet)
Lelouch Vi Britannia
Being a Canadian Cadet I give my salute and thanks to all the Vets who have served and continue to serve the freedoms of our country. Not only to Canada but every country who have fought for human ideals and morals, no matter the nationality, religion, or race, those who served, we are forever in debt!
