Orbis: Descending from the Stars (affects: San Florence and Britannia)

The night sky of Orbis was filled with bright flashes of crimson, which rippled across the heavens like a maelstorm of bleeding electricity, as the fleet of the Uinicob Acalli Cemantihuitzli announced the arival of the Maya. Ajaw(king), Tuun Kʻabʻ Hix, of the Nakbe had been tasked with colonizing the planet identified by Pordish Allies.

Though the accompanying Nohoch Chempan of Nakbe was a modest one compared to other Systems of the Maya, a craft of a mere One Thousand One Hundred Kilometers in length, Four Hundred in Height, and Five Hundred  in Width, it was none the less a work of art. Decorated in elaborate carvings, glyphs, and sacred symbols across the entire hull it was a sight to behold.

In orbit above the North American Continent, Tuun Kʻabʻ Hix scanned the planet and quickly identified the "major" powers below.
Looking upon the lands between San Florence, and Britannia, which were comprised of minor powers, the King of the Nakbe had chosen his target.

The fleet unleashed three Base Javelins, each over 300 Kilometers in Length, and 66 in Diameter, and each containing 5,000,000 Warriors and their families. The base javelins slowly impact the planet, and burrow into the crust, creating underground fortified cities to act as FOBs.
Once established, the Maya Warriors enter their underground transports, and ships, and unleash themselves upon the surface, uprooting and displacing the local populace towards the Borders of Britannia and San Florence.

*San Florence response to the situation*

 

The government of San Florence is taking this situation at it's borders very seriously. The King and the High Council has postponed its other operations and meetings to sort out this situation. They have also discussed on preparing if any threat comes from where the refugees came from. The patrols on the northern borders of San Florence will remain on high alert for any threats from beyond borders.

 

King Arnaldo: "My council and I have agreed on letting in the refugees and their military protection. We only ask them to please not disturb the peace in San Florence and do not enter into the Acatec Tribe territory because we do not have their permission on the acceptance of the refugees. I believe that they will accept the refugees, but I don't believe they will accept the military escorts. We ask all of the citizens of San Florence to assist the refugees and do not be alarmed of all of soldiers who are escorting the refugees."

The French Royal Family has reaffirmed its stance it will defend and support its former colony of San Florence, and will offer any assistance required. Alongside upholding our Friendship Treaty with Britannia offering our support and assistance. 

 

 The Emperor of France has said "We are offering our borders to the Refugees and will offer monetary aid from the French Colonial Assistance Program. We offer our Military Resources and access to the Louisiana Defense System. We will be hosting Bilateral talks between our nations and our allies.

All along the borders, stragglers who were late to run for the hills, find themselves within death's grasp. Those on the other side could hear little more than a chorus of inhuman screams, as the Nakbe Warriors surrounded the straggling convoys. The border patrols of San Florence and Britannia could do little more than watch the spectacle.

"They won't die! They won't die!" Gunshots ring out to the heavens, as the convoy was beset by Nakbe Forces. Startled, and afraid, the soldiers open fire on what appear to be a swarm of hornets rising out of the earth itself. Each one screeching with the sound of a Death Whistle, causing a deafening chorus on inhuman screams and screeches. "Stop wasting ammo! Hold fire!" The commanders orders go largely on deaf ears, as the soldiers continue to fire, seemingly unaware of the growing sounds beneath their feet. "Hold Fire!!" Once more he tries to reign in his men, as the civilians begin to scream in terror at the approaching swarm.

"Stay back!" One of the soldiers screamed, as he moved to reload. At that moment the ground beneath him gave way, as a hand grabbed his leg. Struggling, he refilled his weapon and began to fire at the skull faced helmet peering at him from the ground. "Demons! They're Demons!" Emptying the entire magazine into the unflinching warrior, as it pulled itself out of the earth effortlessly. In his decorative power armor, the warriors seemed to appear to be a statue of the dead rising from the grave.

With a quick motion, the Nakbe Warrior grabbed the soldier by his head and threw it into one of the transports with such force it caused the vehicle to roll onto its side. Frantically, one of the men grabbed at a RPG and fired it, striking the warrior into the ground as more warriors rose from the earth below. The hornets swarmed the convoy, frantically stinging at anything that they came into contact with, unleashing nanites that ate man and machine alike from the inside, the screaming was intense, but somewhat drowned by the sound of the death whistles.

The warriors sallied forth, striking down the enemy in hand to hand combat, not even bothering to turn on their shielding, it was less a fight and more a massacre. The women, children, were captured inside the warriors' flatspace storage in their gauntlets, as were the men who showed the greatest bravery, so as to serve as slaves or sacrifices later. In a matter of minutes, the force sunk back into the earth from which they came, leaving little behind but corpses and battered vehicles.

Scenes like this were common all along the border, and within the Maya's newly claimed lands, as those unfortunate enough to have not left were either captured or killed, leaving behind abandoned and war scarred towns and cities.

The Holy Britannian Empire is sending in their Knightmare Frames to extract civilians and any Britannians in the area.

 

We expect to have less than 10 casualties by the end of the extraction. Knightmare launch in imminent, once completed the borders will be closed.

Next time you should give me some indication on how many you're coming at me with. Since it's 10 casualties you expect, I'm guessing you're bringing about a dozen or so of them?

Caught by surprise by the enemy... What appears to be enemy IFV's. Which, due to the element of surprise, made short work of the unshielded warriors at the border.
In response, the Transports and Escorts underground open fire upon the Knightmares from the safety of 30+ meters of earth and rock as cover, as well as linked array shielding.

The transports open with an initial barrage of Liquid Metal Stream Cannons, whipping them about in flight, appearing to be large golden and silver whips. The beams move through the air at speeds just below the first tier safety cap, ensuring they do not cause extensive of damage to the planet.

The Pordish reaction to the arrival of the Tonina is perhaps typical; an official statement is drafted and released to the general public welcoming the Tonina to Orbis. Not much more is said on the matter, save for that Nalydian borders will not be open for refugee resettlement, and that while Tonina are friends of Grazhni Pordlandia, she will not participate in dealing with the humanitarian now developing on the North American continent. Of particular note, however, is the rise in tensions.

 

Secretly, the ZJR commanders in command of a number of formations that have been attached to nam-Kalzhak's Division have been notified of the developments. They are told to adopt a higher level of readiness should conflict erupt, but nothing beyond notifying them of the situation and telling them to be prepared is conducted.

Good to know... Considering the last multiple posts have been full of Metagaming, I'm feeling disheartened about how the community does RP

(OOC.Not sure what you mean by that but I and others such as Alexei have played and RPd for over a year now so yes we have built ourselves to withstand any possible threat as well we have are both in the UDAC and have trained our allies in the same technology when requested. currently you are speaking with Lady Victorina who is a human while her huband is missing after he wiped out a city. she is ruthless so I hope you won't take offense to the words IC).

The metagaming angle, however, is when your IC actions and comments are about things you would not know IC. Your radars will not inform you of a private conversation in orbit. Sacred Lights does not need to clarify that such things should not be commented on because logically it makes no sense to.

That's the thing though, you've RPed in this forum with a handful of people.

You haven't engaged in wars with dozens upon dozens of Future Tech RPers, such as yourself, in grand factional wars, with a broad scale of Fantasy and Science Tech pool coming together.

 

I guess to put it simply. We haven't just war RPed, we've had to evolve our RP itself (not just our IC nation and tech), to increasing demands placed upon us by dozens of wars with even more RPers and unique national concepts...

 

It might seem jumping the gun to declare such a thing, yet by looking at the RPs on this forum I can tell you guys are a bit behind us. Which is NOT meant as an insult, but simply me saying what I say.

 

Which is also why I would like a war, to help you guys flesh out your concepts and RP quality more. So more fun and engaging RP can be had down the line.

Actually a fake war would be a great tool to help you flesh your concept out! We could set up an Alternate Timeline Wargames.

You could be on one team of the wargames, which would be us UMS guys against each-other(so it's fair).

 

We could also bring in another of you guys for the other team if anyone is interested. If not we could bring a less developed of our NS-1 nations (like the Anunaki) into the war RP to give you a more scaled counter just in case your behind us in tech.

This is the sort of battle Sacred Lights is referring to. It's a rather involved back and forth between multiple players with rather in-depth consideration about the course of events. There isn't a lot on this forums that I've seen that comes close to this.
