What would be the most interesting war?

What about having each alliance sends in only 5 fighters into "The Pit" and the last to survive wins. Also, there's a prize pool. Each AA pays 50m (10m per fighter) as the anti, and the winning AA gets all of it -10% per fighter lost. The remaining cash is put into the next round's prize pool.

You could have different city count tiers if you wanted with less fighters per tier (say 2 each), with the same prize pool method.

When The Syndicate was the #1 alliance and Alpha was #9, a 1v1 would've been fun had tS not rejected that offer.

TEst/Arrgh/RW vs tS/TKR/Pantheon would be interesting.

Syndoosphere Civil War would be fun. People who know how the game works going up against each other and trying to find new strategies to counter each other effectively.

Paracov Civil War would also be entertaining. People who have no idea what they're doing flailing about and trying the most ridiculous things.

I've pushed this idea a few times, but no one wants to fight Mensa. :(

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE TO DENY ME THIS

While I get that this thread was in-part a way to lightly jest about "ideal" sides, I feel like a huge amount of people are still mistaking quantity for quality. I feel like an even larger portion of people don't understand what quality actually means.

Having large nations isn't quality.

Having ties to Syndisphere isn't quality.

Having a !@#$ton of members isn't quality.

If I were to hand-pick sides, I would also want to hand-pick fronts because I would need to weight certain alliances for their actual value. Putting people like Rose on one side to even out someone like TKR on the other isn't weighted evenly.

I just wanted to see Rose page 1 have all their cities leveled below 1k infra

That would be a pain in the ass fight there.  Two nuclear dominant alliances in there.  NK would go balls deep with throwing nukes, beiging people.  Alpha would at least have some constraint.
