Falls in food production should be expressed as a % between 0 and 100

Not between 0 and -100.  Because, mathematically speaking, that doesn't make sense unless farms are absorbing crops, vegetables, fruits, livestock, etc. back into the ground. Which is obviously not the case as all that's happening is a reduction in your nation's overall food production from a nominal 100% (full production) down to 0% (no production at all).  For it to fall below 0 (to -100%) is impossible.  Even taking into account feeding of livestock.

 

What exactly do we farm, anyway?
