Today we declare loudly, we are here and we formally exist. We look forward to making future announcements as we finish putting things together. Without forth ado, i will release all the official information below. OOS Forums: Click Here OOS IRC: Click Here OOS Charter: Order of Storms ~Charter~ Preamble We the free nations of the Order of Storms (herein known as OOS), come together to unite under a common flag and common goals. We pledge to protect one another in times of sunshine, and times of darkness. We swear to the Dragon Gods above to always be a beacon in the night for wayward souls. Fortuna Fortes Juvat Codex I: Membership 1)Admission a. Any person seeking membership within the OOS shall change their Alliance Affiliation to “Order of Storms†and file an application on the OOS Forums. b. The Sentinel of Internal Affairs shall review the application, and choose to either accept or reject the applicant, OR bring it to the government for review. c. Once accepted, the applicant becomes an Initiate of the OOS and must do the following: i. Change their Alliance Affiliation to Order of Storms ii. Change their color to Black iii. Contact the OOS Academy staff. 2) Resigning a. Any member who wishes to resign from OOS must do the following: i. Post in the Resignation Thread on the OOS Forums ii. Remove the Order of Storms Alliance Affiliation b. Any member who leaves the OOS Alliance Affiliation OR who applies to another alliance without first resigning is no longer entitled to the benefits of membership and may face appropriate penalties as determined by the Elder or Council of Sentinels Codex II: Alliance Hierarchy The Ranks of the Order of Storms shall be as follows: A. Elder, B. High Sentinel, C. Sentinel, D. Paladin, E.Captain, F. Lieutenant, G. Sergeant, H. Knight, I. Initiate A) Elder of the Order of Storms: The highest leadership of the Order of Storms shall be the Elder of the Order of Storms. The Elder shall be the heads of state and the highest leading body of Government. The Elder is charged with setting the goals, strategy, and foreign policy of the alliance. All major decisions rest with the Elder. The Elder shall have administrative powers on the forums and either own or have senior ops on all of OOS's IRC channels. The Elder Shall hold office for life, or until they are unable to do so. Should the Elder step-down, they will appoint a new Elder to take their place. High Sentinel of the Order of Storms: The High Sentinel is the second highest leadership of the Order of Storms.The High Sentinel shall be appointed from the Council of Sentinels and shall act as head of the Council of Sentinels. The High Sentinel, once appointed will serve for 4 month or until the next appointing period as determined by the Elder and the council of Sentinels. The High Sentinel is charged with overseeing the daily administrative items of the alliance. Duties may include, but are not limited to: application approval, masking, promotions, and banking. The High Sentinel shall have administrative powers on the forums and senior ops on all of OOS's IRC channels C) Sentinel of the Order of Storms: Sentinels are the third highest leadership of the Order of Storms. Sentinels shall be appointed by the Elder and will act as member of the Council of Sentinels. Sentinels are charged with overseeing the daily administrative items of their Departments. Duties may include, but are not limited to: application approval, masking, promotions, and banking. Sentinels shall have administrative powers on the forums and senior ops on all of OOS's IRC channels D) Paladin of the Order of Storms: Paladins are the lowest members of government. The Paladins aid the Sentinels in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Chapter they preside over. They have full latitude in conjunction with the Sentinel to meet goals and conform to the vision set down by the Elder. Paladins shall have moderation privileges on the forums and ops in all of OOS's IRC channels E) Captain of the Order of Storms: Captains are the highest rank of membership. Captains are members who have a highly active role in the alliance and participate in the operation of their chosen department. Captains will usually hold or have held leadership positions in the past and are the most experienced members of the alliance. To be promoted to the rank of Captain a member must have 18 months or more of P&W experience, or have held leadership positions(as determined by the Elder and Council of Sentinels) Captains may have moderation privileges on the forums and Half-ops on all of OOS's IRC channels F) Lieutenant of the Order of Storms: Lieutenants are the second rank of membership. Lieutenants are members who have a large active role in the alliance and assist Captains in carrying out operation in their departments. Lieutenants have more experience than Sergeants in terms of alliance work, and nation management. To be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant a member must have 12 months or more of P&W experience, or have held leadership positions(as determined by the Elder and Council of Sentinels) Sergeants may have moderation privileges on the forums and half-ops on all of OOS's IRC channels G) Sergeant of the Order of Storms: Sergeants are the third highest rank of Membership. Sergeants are members who have a mild active role in the alliance and assist in carrying out operation in their departments. Sergeants have more experience than Knights in terms of alliance work, and nation management. To be promoted to the rank of Sergeant a member must have 6 months or more of P&W experience, or have held leadership positions(as determined by the Elder and Council of Sentinels) Sergeants may have moderation privileges on the forums and Voice on all of OOS's IRC channels H) Knight of the Order of Storms: Knights are the second lowest rank of Membership. Members that complete the OOS academy are award the rank of Knight, and are considered full members of the OOS. Knights are grant all the rights of full membership and have full access to use OOS bank and trading forums. Knights shall have voice on all of OOS's IRC channels I) Initiate of the Order of Storms: Initiates are the lowest rank of Membership. New members that join the OOS are giving the rank of Initiate. Initiates are required to attend the OOS academy, and complete all OOS academy tests before they obtain the rank of knight and full membership. Initiates have limited access to the forums, OOS banks and IRC. Codex III: Departments The OOS will consist of the following four Sentinels & their respective Departments: Sentinel of Defense (SoD) This Sentinel is tasked with the Defense Department of the OOS Sentinel of Foreign Affairs (SoFA) This Sentinel is tasked with the Foreign Affairs Department of the OOS Sentinel of Internal Affairs (SoIA) This Sentinel is tasked with the Internal Affairs Department of the OSS Sentinel of Economics(SoE) This Sentinel is tasked with the Finance Department of the OOS Codex IV: Policies 1. Each Sentinel will determine Department Policies governing their specific area. Discussion and agreement is suggested when determining policy direction. 2. Policies will be housed in the OOS Policy Plaza, viewable to all members, unless Operational Security (OPSEC) prohibits it. 3. Policies cannot contradict the charter, but will provide more specific guidance. Codex V: Religion 1. The Official Religion of the Order of Storms Shall be The Dragon Gods Faith and its Eleven(11) Pillars of Followers. (Valic, Ventus, Matrona, Aecor, Obcasus, Labes, Immunis, Caeruleum, Chalybs, Tellus, and Cruor) 2. Each Dragon of the Eleven shall have their own Temples of worship, whom upkeep will be maintained by its different Followers. 3. Other world religions are welcome to build their own Temples of worship within their alliance Embassies on the OOS Forums, so long as those practices do not harm the OOS nor disturb any other faith practices. Codex VI: Amendments 1. Any Sentinel may request an amendment to this Charter. However amendment of this charter can only take place with the approval of the Elder of the OOS. That's very strange, they must have not gone in the direction you had hoped for. The Olive Branch Officially Announces that we are merging into the Order of Storms over the next few days.
