Morgan Posted July 6, 2016 Share Posted July 6, 2016 A Story of Valyrian Dragonlords in Astapor As Valyria grows in strength and reestablishes itself in the world, Valyrian dragonlords are sent out with their fierce dragons to discover new resources to power the growing Kingdom. One of the elder Dragonlords Thomas leads a team of elite Dragonlords tasked with finding gold for trade in the mountains across Slavery’s Bay. Approaching the day’s end the elder Dragonlord Thomas spots a river in the distance, a promising location to set up camp. The elder Dragonlord sets up camp with his team and waits for sunrise to continue their search. Once the sun breaks the surface, the team resumes their venture and flies down the river. On the horizon Slavery’s bay reappears, and as they fly closer they notice a city that has been obscured by the mountain while traveling in the opposite direction at the start of their journey. Dragonlord Thomas decides to approach the giant walled-city and prepares for hostility. Residents of the city turn their heads to the sky as they hear the distinct sound of a Valyrian dragon’s wings moving up and down in the distance. But instead of running in fear the people bow down, a sign of respect. Elder Thomas commands his team to land in the center of the city once he realizes the city is not hostile. The Valyrians were greeted warmly and taken to meet the city's leaders. Dragonlord Thomas is introduced to President Bradley Davies, the leader of the small newly formed Union that incorporated this city of Astapor into its territory as the Union’s capital. Astapor’s walls are severely damaged from the Battles of Unification, and its soldiers are poorly trained due to lack of experienced leadership. While the Elder Thomas is not familiar with the structure and titles of this European Union, he is not hesitant to offer help to these people who have shown great respect for the dragons of Valyria. The Dragonlord immediately dispatches a member of his team back to Valyria to request permission from the Grand Dragonlord to establish a protectorate agreement so that Valyria can train the European Union’s unsullied warriors. Within the same day the dispatch is returned with approval of the request. Dragonlord Thomas is commanded to remain in the European Union capital city of Astapor to begin training of their unsullied warriors. The Unsullied Agreement The Treaty of Astapor Article I: Defending The Union Valyria hereby agrees to protect the European Union. Both Valyria and the European Union agree to abide by the terms of this Protectorate Agreement. Article II: Sending of Crows Both Valyria and the European Union agree to communicate regularly on all happenings by the sending of crows. Article III: Promise of Gold Valyria will assist the European Union with economic knowledge and funding in order for proper settlement. Article IV: An Established Union The establishment of the European Union shall be monitored every 30 days. Valyria and the European Union must agree to continue this agreement or void it each monitoring period. Article V: Troubled Times Should either Valyria or the European Union find itself in troubled times and unable to continue this agreement, crows shall be sent to inform the cancellation of this agreement, which shall take effect after 72 hours of receiving the notice.
