Not really hypocritical. I'm just responding to his argument saying people should let them play how they want to play. I think if you want to play a certain way, you have to be able to enforce that.

The "idea" of a GPA is not new, or novel, or unfair. You're simply creating a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory, when there isn't any basis in fact for anything you claim possibly could happen on your imaginary slippery slope.

neutrality carries its own risks in this world. i get the sense of justice, but its not like the real world, in which we give up much of our power to one government which enforces laws that we decide on together.

 

here, its a free for all, with rudimentary teams and pacts. and saying you wont hit anyone doesnt deliberately antagonize anyone, but it also doesnt guarantee your safety.

How is it denying them to play neutral? Neutral isnt a way out of the war system and they should be familiar with the war system to ensure they can enforce their neutrality against foreign threats. Hell, any alliance us suppose to find ways to help protect their interest and find ways to ensure their members safety as best as they can. GPA took the "I won't choose any sides of any conflict and hope nobody ever attacks us because we have no allies or enter conflict willingly." line. They have every right to play the game they want, but they dont get to play the victim when they avoid foreign politics or war systems.they alienated themselves and that's a fact. They do not intentionally make friends with alliances, so they literally dont have any friends who would be willing to jump to their aid.

GPA has said several times through the course of its existence in PW, "neutrality does not mean they are pacifists", or something to that effect. No one is stopping them from being neutral. Attacking them does not prevent them from being neutral.
