However, it would involve expanding the amount of sports that are located within the game based on an "attribute system". For example, each nation shall be provided with a total of one-hundred points in order to invest in a specific sport or competition.​For example:​Sport: Attributes: 100​-------------- Soccer/Football: 20​American Football: 2 Diving: 10​Wrestling: 10Basketball: 20​Women's Pageant: 30​Martial Arts: 1 Sledding: 1​Running Marathon: 2Hockey: 0​Fencing: -- Archery: --​Weightlifting: --​etc...​Attributes merely increases the odds of winning. One nation may maximize one specific sport in order to lose in the remainder of the sports while another subject may balance certain sports or crafts in order to attain a few bronze medals etc... ​National Olympics could be utilized for the purposes of selecting players within a nation.​Continental Olympics merely applies to the continent.​International Olympics applies to the globe.​It is a simplistic method towards applying an annual, half-annual, or quarterly-annual event that motivates nations to participate in a POLITICAL SIMULATION for CULTURAL or DIPLOMATIC purposes. In the process, each and every nation, despite their rank, shall be capable of attaining some form of satisfaction within the game considering that the list of sports shall be endless, resulting in numerous gold, silver, and bronze winners within the International and Continental Olympics.​Hypothetically, the nation with the majority of the medals from the PREVIOUS Olympic game shall host their Olympic game during the next event.​EDITED:​The nation's profile page could state "attained one gold medal in Soccer/Football and one bronze medal in Woman's Pageant within the International Olympics of 9/14/2017 within the nation of ____". Otherwise, other nations would possess information such as "Ranked as #104 in football within the International Olympics of 9/14/2017 within the nation of _____" etc.. Indeed, it would also involve competing against other nations that had maximized their options with a systematic "dice-roll" in order to determine the top three winners of the Olympics. In the process, subjects with 90-99 points within "weightlifting" could possess an OPPORTUNITY to attain the gold medal during the Olympics. Stuff like "Most Gold/Silver/Bronze Medals", "Most Gold Weightlifting Medals" etc. That being said, if this follows suit with Baseball where your players retire I don't like it. Kinda ruins it when your players retire and you have to completely rebuild your team again. A better alternative would be imo, having "Teams" to upgrade for each individual category instead of upgrading individuals. Your level in individual sports will decay over time and more rapidly the longer you don't invest in upgrading them. That way you could either invest large amounts into your team to get them to their peak right before the olympics, or invest in them regularly between olympic events to keep them at their peak for cheaper. Medals in the olympics should come with cash prizes, as should the final nation rankings. Also, you could create a new project called an "Olympic Stadium". The Olympics could be applied to both nations and alliances since it is based on annual events. ​National Olympics (+1, determines which citizens within a nation shall participate in the continental and international Olympics), Continental Olympics (+1), International Olympics (+1), and Alliance Olympics (+1) ​12 divided by four equates to four Olympic-based events on a yearly basis OR one Olympic event on a tri-monthly basis. It would provide newer players with the opportunity to attain a bit of recognition from a cultural perspective rather than providing wealthy nations with the ability to win through their wealth. However, your method seems agreeable considering that it would result in providing ACTIVE nations with the ability to attain a higher score rather than an inactive player with 100 points in fencing to attain a gold medal. ​Side-perks could involve utilizing espionage agents to determine whether a player is consuming steroids in order to attain an advantage within a competition, resulting in a disqualification within the competition. ​Politics and war... indeed.
