Opposition Democratic Party of Ermber (DPe) Vice President Mrs. Lydia Benchulu this morning called for a press conference at the Democratic party headquarters in New Province where she addressed issues being confronted by her party. The following is a speech read;

"To the executive party organs, various government departmental heads, distinguished honorable guests, press media personal, ladies and gentlemen I've this morning called to clear the rumors circulating around the country and to announce that the Democratic Party President Mr. Given Tuyu Hymn has been arrested and charged with Inciting a riot, damaging private and government properties and infrastructure and for plotting anarchy. This is one of a few examples that we as opposition have been trying to point saying democracy is nolonger with us, the ruling party is very popular so I wonder why they keep being dictators and being so tyrannical. Just the other mother a former state vice president was hanged for treason and you'd wonder just how that's even possible, they don't want you to leave them, ask them or even speak for the people. As I'm speaking Mr. Tuyu Hymn is being transported to Republisa to appear in a Republisa high court when he was arrested in Braeston, I wonder why, as much as this is not a coincidence we believe there is an inner plot to have our party president killed also. The managed to clear the peoples party clean with over 166 members missing and 30 executive officers arrest and 13 killed, I ask you the patriotic citizens and international criminal institutions to intervene and help us get rid of this government, they will do anything to keep power, our intel says the ruling party is considering a one party state so please help. Thank you". The speech read by the Democratic Party vice president wasn't received well by the ruling Liberation Party, when asked to comment the ruling Party Vice President and Republisa imperial district representative candidate Josep Olip Anfur said "The statements made by the opposition vice president this morning were not only incriminating but suggest that the ruling party is a violent secret killers circle. The opposition vice president was very reckless with her statements even suggested that government was in on the arrest of Mr. Hymn or Mr. Venew but its law, if you break them you pay, seems even that vice president of theirs wants a taste of prison by suggesting such malicious and incriminating statements, I'm from meeting with the Police Service inspector general and I've told him that the statements made by the opposition are defaming, malicious, incriminating and suggest that government and the ruling party is involved in several illegal mentioned activities by the opposition, so I expect to hear from the police once they take her in for questioning this evening".

In approximately 1966, King Omself became unpopular and his sub chiefs became his enemies, in an attempt to flee King Omself was struck down by his most loyal sub chief who was then popular enough to claim the throne as King Omselfolo I. A day after King Omself was buried the north god of viso, the star of the north guardian and all seeing eye of the sky came inform of King Omself and killed everybody who had a hand in the Kings death after which the lord god spoke to the people through King Omself; "Fear the leader I choose to govern over you, trust that I can never let you my people be in the hands of somebody I didn't appoint for you". King Omself was then restored as King but he instead cursed the north god for resurrecting him so in his fury the king assembled an army of 1800 and sailed forward to the holy island of visoi to destroy it but unfortunately the king was met by an army of 200 angels who protect the island. A war ensnared, the king was killed along with his army and they were cast down to the lowest pits of the abyss to serve the dark lord for all eternity. For a period of 20years the nation laid leader less, nobody could stand and take on the throne but in 1990, a fisher man named amo roud had a dream to concur the highest mountain on the main land so the following day he started his climb and made it to the top of mount Ermb once there he found the crown belonging to king Omself and there he proclaimed himself king and overlord. In 1993, King Roud renamed the monarchy to North Ermber after the great Ermb mountain were he claimed the throne. Though the king developed the land and introduced some forms of modern civilization greed consumed the King leading to him withholding the thrones food reserves for the great drought of 1993 victims and this lead to the king being unpopular, in 1995 an assassination attempt was carried out on the King as he road his chariot to the great monarchy hall in now independence road but the assassination was a failure but it lead to the king starting the great war of 1998 against the resistance army, a group of rebels against the throne. In 1999 king Roud concurs the resistance army but a new threat is detected in a new force called the Liberation army is formed. In the year 2000, King Roud loses over 5000 soldiers who inturn join the Franci der Phoenic lead liberation army. The Commander General of the Liberation Army lead a successful campaign that saw an abdication of the throne by King Roud but his generals still fought the liberation army in hopes of gaining power over the state but in 2001 the Liberation Army recruited massively and by 2002 the war was over. In 2003, the duly elected Administrator general of North Ermber abolishes the throne and the monarchy and instead introduces a republican democratic method of governance.

The North Ermber national director of public prosecutions has discontinued the case where Democratic Party of Ermber president is the defendant. The party president is currently appearing before the supreme court judges for plotting anarchy, inciting a public riot and for causing destruction to both public and government property and infrastructure worth a total of Fr17,000.00c. In the letter dated 31st October 2006 sent to the supreme court judges panel and the national attorney general the national director of public prosecution noted that the "ruling party is using its influence in government to blow this high court case out of proportion". Sources inside the government building say the national director of public prosecution is an opposition sympathizer and the relevant authorities have been informed for further action.

NORTH ERMBER CELEBRATES

As the government of North Ermber prepares for the commencement of its 2nd Annual seating of the full National House of Representatives and the joint National Assembly on the 10th and 19th of January respectively the citizens are celebrating the nations 3rd year of independence and liberation, the President and his daughter Sally der Phoenic are currently celebrating the month of the lord visoi (christmas) in the in land provincial city of New Province while the first lady is still at the holy island of Visoi. The celebrations marking the month in which the north god and star of the north came upon the earth to learn and to teach is celebrated right after the annual harvest season held on the 21st of November while the Agric-crop and Rearing festival is held on the 25th of November. North Ermber got her independence in April 2003 and has since developed tremendously since then. These celebrations will be topped off by fire works displays, public festivals and sharing of gifts with one another until 1st January 2007.

The North Ermber President and Commander in chief Mr. Franci der Phoenic is tomorrow set to address the 3rd Annual National Assembly and National House of Representatives at the parliament buildings in Republisa. 50 persons were on the 31st of December elected into the house to each represent one of ten districts in each province, while the five governors where reappointed and nominated into the house by the president alongside cabinet ministers nominated. The president will only be addressing the joint National Assembly for 30 minutes before departing leaving the Prime Minister and chief government spokesperson madam Lisa nor Allek to attend to the question and answer session of the joint assembly. By the republican constitution the president is vested with power to nominated not more than 11 person into the National House of Representatives and so far the president has nominated all 5 former governors, Home affairs minister, Commerce and Trade Minister, the chief government spokesperson, defence minister and the former defence minister Mr. Graf nor Allek.

North Ermber President Franci der Phoenic has arrived in Republisa Province in readiness of the National Assembly after spending a three days leave as he and his daughter visited the expectant first lady at the holy island of visoi after celebrating the holy month of december in Braeston. The president arrived at the Republisa National Airport at 9pm (orbis time) this evening on board the presidential air transport (PAT) alongside his daughter Sally. The president was then escorted to the New government building in independence avenue and is expected to stay in the capital for two days while attending to state affairs. Sources inside the government building say the president is under pressure after medical staff at the holy island suggested that the first lady be relocated from the holy island going against all customs stating that the Kings wife ought to give birth in the eyes of the gods at the holy temple. The president has since asked to have a meeting with some temple masters and health experts to try and resolve the issue on the 17th of January.

The seating of the 3rd Annual first session of the joint National Assembly has commenced. Honorable members of the house of representatives all arrived early this morning at the Parliament buildings before cabinet ministers arrived. The president arrived at exactly 7:45am (orbis time) in his luxury presidential motor escorted by the republican guard operatives, traffic officers and an elite task force comprising army and police officers on horses and motor bikes. The president was in the presence of the prime minister and his daughter, the president is expected to start his speech at exactly 8am (orbis time) and by 8:45am he will be lead back to the new government building were he will follow proceedings in the comfort of the Dawn estate (presidential residence at the new government building).

The following is the speech read by the president of North Ermber at the first seating of the 3rd Annual joint National Assembly.

"Honorable Mr. Speaker, Honorable Madam Prime Minister, Honorable member of the house and cabinet, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen its with great honor that I address you and the nation on this special day. As you are all aware I've left my other half on an island so I should make this quick (joke). Along with my government we have reached a great mile stone in developing and growing the state of North Ermber, along with your support as the legislature I hope we can grow even more and attain greater heights. The honorable ministers at the government building asked me to inform you the attendants here, those watching from their homes and the international community that we are working day and night to build a strong and diverse economy open and free of any government interference hence building confidence in all those that wish to invest here. The current national tax set at 36.50% shall remain so until 2011 when new government policies shall be set, I know most wonder just how persons earning an average of Fr2.50 will cope by paying 35% of their wage but I'd like to assure you that government is working to improve the commerce and trade levels in the country. So far the average person earns Fr98.0 per annum and that has to raise to atleast Fr120 or Fr170 by 2009 (orbis time). This government is also determined to bringing you quality health care and security so we are planning on commissioning atleast one hospital and police station per province. Rumors I heard once at the estate were that I'm working against opposition well I'd like to state that I believe strongly in free speech, democracy and patriotism but pointing fingers with allegations will not get you far, mark my words when I say I'll deal sternly with any person found abrogating the rule of law, I'm committed 100% to ensuring that lawlessness and criminal activities are curbed.

My fellow country men and women, this government has and shall still continue to provide free health care and free education seeing as the government is raising more than enough, we are also working to providing for the less fortunate, the disabled, orphaned and elderly by erecting building to shelter and provide for all persons unable to fend for themselves. As the president I wish to announce that the luxuries I enjoy at the dawn estate have been cut down and I hence forth pledge 75% of my salaries and emoluments to relevant social welfare commissions, unions and boards. As we all know, the first lady, my lady (joke) is currently expectant and I hope and wish you keep her in your prayers to visoi, also I'd like to take this very special moment to ask that we take a second to remember all the fallen heros who serve and protect us in the various armed and unarmed services, if it weren't for those brave men and women North Ermber wouldn't be were it is today. Today our armed forces brag of having 36,000 soldier, 250 tanks, 60 jets and 10 navy war ships, this is all the liberation parties work and for electing me back into office I'd like to thank the viewers at home personally, this means a lot and I hope to serve and help you more. Thank you".

The Ermber national airforce treated the president was a 7 jet fly over and the national army saluted the commander in chief with a 21 gun salute. The second seating of the 3rd Annual National House of Representatives has appointed Mrs. Yvon Mito as the Speaker of the house. Mrs. Mito served as the state attorney general from 2003 till 2004 and is currently the New Province commercial district representative. After holding elections and swearing in ceremonies the house then raised a few issues like why the president insisted on retaining the old governors instead of appointing afresh from the newly elected members of the house. The house since revoked authority from the serving governors and nullified there membership in the house until a further verdict is reached. Currently the Liberation Party holds 53% of the house' members while the opposition Democratic Party holds 45% with 2% going to representatives that stood independently. From the opposition executive only the party vice president madam Lydia Benchulu made it into the house as New Province first class representative and is currently the special opposition representative of the house while Lisa nor Allek is both the government and party representative in the house.

1. President Franci der Phoenic has appointed former Finance Minister Ronalda Vidos as his special assistant for finance and accounting.

2. 4. North Ermber Vice President Inan Sint has proposed that government construct another building to be the official residence of the president while the dawn estate at the new government building can still be the presidents residence.

North Ermber first lady and Energy & Science minister was this morning rushed to the labor room after signs of an early birth where detected, there she bore a still born baby boy. President Franci der Phoenic is among first family members including the first daughter Sally, the first lady's mother Unoath and the first lady's sister Imasil at the holy island of visoi were a small funeral procession is currently under-way. The holy temple masters on the island have rung the 448 bells of Ashu (symbolizing the death of a prince) and have since started offering prayers to the north god. Reporters and all other members of the public have now been denied access to the holy island until the baby is buried secretly in the temple. As customary the temple masters will each recite 7 scripts each calling the northern gods spirit to witness the mourning for 3 days and then on the fourth day after birth a burial shall be held.

North Ermber mourns the loss of the first lady's baby delivered months before due, citizens and well wishers have been seen frequenting viso temples laying wraths, flowers and other special ornaments in the offerings room while others where seen offering prayers with pictures of the first family. President Franci der Phoenic is currently at the holy island of Visoi mourning his son alongside the first lady and the first family. The North Ermber Prime Minister visited the Island late last night and spent the evening praying at the holy temple and was among family friends present this morning. Among the family friends was former defence minister Graf nor Allek, home affairs minister Ossen Arman and Armed forces chief of staff Brae du Vet. The president has asked that the event be held privately and has asked those wishing to kindly offer prayers during this rough moment.

In approximately 1908 (orbis time) there once were 15 individual tribal clans living in now north ermber in different regions and islands. Living off hunting and fishing, they lived contentedly until one day there was a thick violent cloud cover accompanied by heavy rain, thunder and lightening. After the storm the villages were destroyed and all life was never the same, people started to group and eventually only three kingdoms were established. The fisher men of the islands, hunters and farmers on the main land, they lived by trading with one another and by 1918 (orbis time) the three kingdoms united and formed the united kingdoms of Urmba (meaning people together). King Omself Kafailo of the island fisher clan became overlord. In 1922, a strange object fell from the sky, like a shooting star and it fell deep in the northern waters, King Omself sent his best divers to recover the object but the search was futile as the water was too deep. In 1926, a strange island was discovered right were the object from the sky fell surrounded by stone islands carved into spiritual idols and marked with traditional or tribal marks, the island was positioned in a spinning current forcing all the boats sailing there to get smashed into the stone islands. In 1927, King Omself finally made it to the strange island and there he was marveled and fascinated by the beautiful architectural buildings and statues he found. There King Omself was met by a strange bright human like object that greeted him by his name and welcomed him and his entourage, the being called itself God, it did not walk on the ground but on a cloud layed on the ground like a carpet, the north god (as its now called) taught the King and his men several life skills like hunting techniques, how to build stronger ships, how to farm and how to govern better. The human like god only visited the main land during festivals as prayers were said in its name, the god said it fell from the sky after other gods waged war on man kind, its duty then was to come visit earth and see just how man kind lives to feel how humans feel so it can go back and convince the other gods not to go to war. In 1950 after several years on earth the north god built temples, dictated scripts to be written and recited on special days, dictated days of worship and appointed 150 men and women to live at the island as it left for the sky's again.

The Ermber National Republican Guards have arrested and detained two reporters found trying to make their way into the main temple building. The two journalists both male were shipped off to Republisa and are currently at the Republisa police HQ. After the president asked for a small private funeral security personal at the holy island was tightened, with two navy war ships patrolling the waters around the island and atleast 80 republican guards and elite task forces operatives are said to be stationed around the holy island. No weapons are allowed into the holy temple so operatives inside are highly recommended physical specialists trained in ancient ways of defenses and attacking methods. The Grand temple master is yet to arrive from his pilgrim to preside over the burial ceremony, the master who is believed to be meditating in the caves of the island shall infact return before the burial day and is expected to bring with him the kings flower (a special type of flower used for royal funerals since 1939.

As the nation of North Ermber prepares to celebrate its 4th Independence anniversary on the 26th of April the government of North Ermber has released Fr60,000.00 for a state banquet to be held at the ENB baseball arena. The government of North Ermber announced through the government spokes person Mr. Jeus Sevet that it intended to make this years independence celebrations the most extravagant occasion in the history of North Ermber. The secretary to the treasury of the state of North Ermber Mrs. Haid Clonforth has denied accusations from the opposition suggesting that the government was stealing tax payers money in pretense of releasing money for celebrations. The government is expected to released a total of Fr170,000.00 by 20th April to carter for atleast 7-10,000 citizens who will participate in the celebrations at the ENB baseball arena in Republisa. The government spokesperson also stated that government was also allocating funds to other provincial governments to help them facilitate the independence celebrations countrywide.

President Franci der Phoenic has appointed Mrs. Keyg Mondu as Republisa governor, Mr. Ambod Venosh as Braeston governor, Mrs. Lydia Benchulu as New Province governor, Mrs. Kanamo Yetis as Provincia Island governor and Mr. Kent Lowey as Munsoon governor. This comes after the National House of Representatives in their 3rd Annual seating nullified and relieved the former governors of their services for not being properly elected nor nominated into the house. The official swearing in ceremony was held in the executive government ceremonial room at the government building in Republisa. Chief Justice Guye Benason swore in the new governors in the presence of the president, vice president, prime minister, speaker of the house of representatives, cabinet ministers and several diplomatic officers.

NORTH ERMBER INSIDER

The North Ermber vice president has official commissioned the Ermber National Broadcasting Company (ENBC)(also called the Ermber National Broadcaster) main building headquarters located just opposite the government building. Speaking at the event Vice President Inan Sint announced that a decision was reached to introduce other media broadcasters and institutions while relaxing laws to information, communication and technical advancements for the citizens. While in other news North Ermber Prime Minister this morning hosted a breakfast meeting in the state dining room at the government building with several board members of Ermber National Telecommunications company (NaTeC). At the meeting the board executive of the company assured the prime minister of full operation by this month end when the company finalizes stages in its building phase. The prime minister suggested the company target rural villages and towns to make communications possible and easy.

The New Province governor Mrs. Lydia Benchulu has been relocated to the official residence of the new province governor after her personal family home (where intended to live) was invaded by a group of ruling party loyalists who intended on causing harm and damage to the property. The new province governor also opposition party vice president stated that the event left her and her family traumatized and she thanked the brave police men and women who braved the weather to secure her property. The government spokesperson Jeus Sevet told reporters a few days after the new province governor was appointed that she (Lydia Benchulu) opted not to have any Republican Guard detail or to move into her constitutional official residence in the imperial district of new province. The police were alerted after the family members of the new province governor heard and saw suspicious movements outside their yard. Currently the new province governor and her family has been assigned a 15 man special security team, 3 drivers and 7 republican guards.

The ruling Liberation Party vice president Josep Olip Anfur has stated that the Ermber Liberation Party had no part or has any knowledge of the attack on the New Province governor and opposition Democratic Party of Ermber Vice President and banking tycoon Mrs Lydia Benchulu. The ruling party vice president addressed reporters at the ruling party guest house in the commercial district of Republisa province alongside the several other party members. The ruling party is rumored to be having inner conflict after president Franci appointed her honor madam Benchulu as governor of New Province.

NORTH ERMBER INSIDER

Thousands of ruling party loyalists and supporters this morning stormed into the New Province local government council meeting chaired by opposition party vice president and new province governor Mrs. Lydia Benchulu interrupting proceedings. The Police officers managed to maintain order after they forcibly ushered the crowd outside and created boundaries but this created more tension. Thousands of ruling party loyalists and supporters started a riot blocking roads while the rains poured down heavily. The New Province army was alerted and since deployed units to guard and help transport members of the local council. The delay caused by the commotion made the new province governor miss her flight to Republisa Province for the 1st Quarter seating of the National House of Representatives. The ruling party secretary general and government prime minister Mrs. Lisa nor Allek says she's dismayed by the actions being done by party supporters but assured the nation and the opposition that as government she will ensure that those involved shall be brought to book. Home Affairs Minister Ossen Arman has met with National Security chiefs and has assured the country that the enforcement agencies had adequate equipment and man power to provide security and peace. The home affairs minister said this after a closed door meeting with the Police service chiefs in the executive government lounge room at the government building in the capital Republisa Province.

The current seating 1st Quarter session of the National House of Representatitves of North Ermber (Parliament/Legislature) has so far passed 114 new laws, shelved 20 and is yet to hear and approve by majority vote 86 more laws by the end of this month. The house commenced it seating late last night after the house adjourned because of the absence of the New province governor and New Province first class district representative Mrs. Lydia Benchulu, who also happens to be the chief opposition representative in the house. Defence Minister Mrs. Kafonia Hangona addressed the house stating that government has embarked on a pro-agriculture, education, gender and technological advancement quest and had so far done 63% of works towards those goals. She also stated that government is now currently considering building a national Missile Launch Pad for the Ermber Defence forces. In another seating this morning, the Commerce Minister Mrs. Dea Masa has told the National Government Assurances Committee of the house that all provinces were currently at 20% each and government is working to grow the number to atleast 40% per province by the year 2010 (orbis time). At the same gathering the chief government representative, ruling party secretary and state government prime minister Mrs. Lisa nor Allek told the committee of government assurances that the government had completed several projects it promised like building hospitals and police services buildings across the country, building schools and putting new relaxed laws on communication, information & broadcasting.

June 5, President Franci der Phoenic hints at appointing New Province governor as Home Affairs minister but Government Prime Minister and deputy administrator general of state madam Lisa nor Allek then stated that government is yet to finalize the appointment, "the office is very sensitive, we can't let just anybody take the position". Said the prime minister.

3. 15th June, the North Ermber National Buildings & Plumbing Department of Government completes building the Fr768,466.00 Munsoon Province Government State House, to function as the presidential retreat house in the tourist capital and the office of the provincial governor has been relocated there.

1. The National House of Representatives committee of National Compensations under the directive of the president has instituted an investigation into the non payment of emoluments and benefits to family members of the remaining former monarchy heads of state. President Franci der Phoenic hosted a banquet in the honor of former state heads of state before independence with an aim to show unity and forgiveness amongst the state leaders, the fest was held in the state dining room at the Republisa New Government building (Capital House) on June 21st.

2. New Province Governor and Opposition party vice president Mrs. Lydia Benchulu has been awarded with an honorary master's degree in ecology alongside the first lady and energy minister Mrs. Yzme der Phoenic who was awarded with an honorary Ph.D in ecology. Both the recipients attend the 22nd Graduation ceremony of students at the University Of North Ermber (Formally King Omself University).

3. Commerce Minister Mrs. Dea Masa, 38, is currently in remote locations of North Ermber exploring the regions alongside National Lands Authority agents who are going round on ground conducting ground checks in remote villages donating book, food and money were needed, some tribal groups are resistant to the government and has since lead to the forced exploration by government. The commerce minister is currently in the northern most region of North Ermber.

NEW PROVINCE MAIL

The Provincial local government council has commissioned the New Province Regional Government High School, the school is heavily sponsored by Governor Lydia Benchulu, the banking tycoon is said to have invested in a total amount of Fr98,000.00 to add on the Fr120,000.00 the local government raised. Speaking at the grand opening of the school where a total of 2,600 students are currently enrolled with a capacity of 3,500 the new province governor said, "This here is a great piece of infrastructure, use it to gain knowledge and wisdom, use it to better the world ahead, I too went to a school such as this and now look at me, take heed in my advice and focus on education for it is the key to success". The honorary holder of a masters degree in ecology from the University of North Ermber took time to sit in the classes and interacted with several students and teachers, the republican guard agents present were very much in sync with the environment as they went pretty much unnoticed. The school is located in the central district of the land locked province and is currently the 6th high school in the province from a total of 15 local & state government owned schools of 35 provincial school all together combined with private schools. The new high school also consists of a large swimming pool, baseball field, large library, full laboratorys, computer labs and many more, the school has atleast 200 teacher to cater for the 2,000 students. The school is free and even provides three healthy meals a day per student. The National Higher Education council has registered the school and since awarded 500 middle school students with free scholarships from around the country. The school shall be run by the Higher Education Council and the new province local government who will then share expenditure expenses of the school equally.
