I don't blame them, the American imperialists have basically had the Democratic People's Republic of Korea under blockade for years now, they are just retaliating in the only ways they can. DRPK ships are now being seized and confiscated in foreign ports, which is blatantly against international law but it's happening because America says so. The only thing the DPRK has ever wanted was a peace treaty with the US/South Korea to formally end the war so the DPRK can begin demobilizing large parts of it's military to fill the labor shortages in industry. The US has REJECTED the offer of a peace treaty time and time again, why? Well whatever they say the real reason is that the US don't want a treaty binding them because they hope for a situation in the future where they can invade and occupy the DPRK and force it to join the American-occupied capitalist puppet state of South Korea.

The DPRK's ballistic missile and nuclear program was all designed to force the US to agree to a binding peace treaty, in diplomatic circles it's well know that the DPRK doesn't want to permanently have nuclear arms, it's just a way to give themselves some diplomatic leverage for the peace treaty, the US can say "Get rid of your nukes" and the DPRK can say "If you agree to a peace treaty", the answer the US gave is "No, we'll just keep sanctioning to try and force you to collapse and be annexed by South Korea".

The real enemy is as always the Capitalist-Imperialist States of America.

Some of you guys are ok, don't go to North Korea on July 18th 2018.

>unironically supports North Korea

The real question is why doesn't the US want a permanent peace in Korea. The answer is that they want to dominate the entire peninsula, not just the southern half. The US has been hostile to the DRPK since the second it was formed.

Maybe the U.S should be hostile against North Korea because it's a shitty communist state with a leader that thinks he's a god.

South Korea is one of the best places in the world to live, U.S puppet or not. North Korea is like walking back into the 1950's.

The people of the DRPK should be able to have whatever government they want, and the people obviously have vast support for the communist/socialist system which is why even after the collapse of the Soviet Union it has stood strong despite having basically the entire world trying to destroy it with sanctions and embargoes. It's a country which despite all the economic sabotage it still has a substantial industrial base capable of producing nuclear weapons, advanced tanks and long-range ballistic missiles. The US thinks it has the right to tell people what government they can have, and if the people don't support a government the US imperialists like they try to destroy them through direct or indirect means (ie Iraq, Libya, Syria, Cuba, Panama, Grenada, etc etc).

It's a hellhole of exploitation where only the rich have a good life, while the average woman is forced to prostitute themselves to US Marines.

U.S puppet or not. North Korea is like walking back into the 1950's.

The people of the DPRK are entitled to have whatever form of government they want. It's comments like this which just understate the imperialistic intentions of US foreign policy, ie "You have a capitalist government or we'll hurt you".

-snippy snippet-

I think you are misunderstanding the government in North Korea. The people living in North Korea have absolute little to no human rights. It is basically Communist Dictatorship. If they were to revolt against their government, that act will be seen as an act of treason and is oppressed. North Koreans showed support because they feared their own government. So, no you are mostly wrong.

U.S do have the rights to tell because we are the superpower and our country already established hegemoney. Nobody dares to fight United States because they know they will get their ass whoop. U.S only acted upon on their interests that benefits us and I support it. North Korea is an example of undemocratic country that needs to be removed.

OK, let's break this down.

1. 'The people obviously have vast support for the communist/socialist system....'

Lol, you really believe what the North Korean propaganda machine tells you?

2. '..which is why even after the collapse of the Soviet Union it has stood strong despite having basically the entire world trying to destroy it with sanctions and embargoes.'

The only thing keeping North Korea together is their Dear Leader, not communism.

3. 'It's a country which despite all the economic sabotage it still has a substantial industrial base capable of producing nuclear weapons, advanced tanks and long-range ballistic missiles.'

lol, are you !@#$ kidding me? A technologically backwards nation, capable of making ICBMs, nukes, and advanced tanks? Lmao.

4. 'The US thinks it has the right to tell people what government they can have, and if the people don't support a government the US imperialists like they try to destroy them through direct or indirect means (ie Iraq, Libya, Syria, Cuba, Panama, Grenada, etc etc).'

I agree with you on this one, but nowadays, the only reason why the western 'imperialists' (dude, this isn't the late 19th century. Why in the hell are you still using this word?) are embargoing the shit out of North Korea is because of its frequent violations of international law.

Granted, the West isn't a saint, but North Korea makes them look like one.

tl;dr: don't feed into anyone's propaganda machines.

North Korea works because they are isolated and think Americans are starving worse than they are. If North Koreans knew that like half of Americans are obese then they would have overthrew their government decades ago.

Keep in mind, the DPRK is in possession of a significant amount of rare earth metals. American and Western financiers have been long desired to control that market. Headed by a non-capitalist regime, the DPRK has presented an obstacle to such intentions.

The capitalists will not rest until they turn the entire world into one huge market under their control.

This is why we need the Eurasian allies (China and Russia). Down with the hegemoney.

Clearly you need to go back to school.

DPRK is not a communist state nor "state capitalist". DPRK practices a socialist ideology called Juche authored by Kim Il-Sung in an effort to industrialize the country, and make it self-reliant in every single matter. DPRK even removed all references to Communism in its constitution in the early 1990's.

Whereas South Korea relies 100% on the economy, you do understand that DPRK can literally turn Seoul (capital of south korea) into a sea of fire?

p.s I'm tired of the big misconception of what a "communist state" is. Go read the Communist Manifesto before making quick assumptions. Marxism in its purest form isn't even considered statist due to its envisioned "utopian society".

Can it work well?

The answer is no, no it can't.

History and the present states otherwise. Socialism isn't defined like Communism, it has a wide broad definition.

Mainly social welfare states.

Because it's "hip"

"Supposedly" to be. But in reality Russia and China aren't friends with each other. Sure there are trading with both countries, but alliance? Very unlikely because if China and Russia were to form an alliance, that would pose a serious threat to United States' hegemoney.

I oppose any hegemoney, not America itself (I am Polish by the way). Secondly, even if the RF amd PRC share some tensions, they are smart enough to band together to stop the hegemon. The presence of the President of the PRC at the 2015 Victory Day celebrations in Moscow was seen by many analysts as a sign of greatly improving relations between the two (hopefully) superpowers.

On another note, anybody with some intelligence knows that 'human rights' is simply a clever casus beli to justify otherwise unjustified aggressive conflicts.

So you want a new hegemon to defeat an old hegemon? If so, what's the purpose anyway?
