Unlike some outhers in here crying about their badassery.... Yeah, statistics don't perfectly capture difficulty. Phiney made the point not long ago (also about Saeton's stats) that kills from early in the game's history would ideally weigh far more than kills from this week, because everyone had far fewer cities and much lower military numbers. And of course badass ratings for raiders are inflated by foes that are helpless or at a minimum not protected by engaged allies and friends from other alliances etc. That said, Arrgh seems to have been getting into many more full on alliance wars lately. Just how many fights does that equate to where the opponents "fought back" and were not "pre-school kids". Someone could top that clearing four people who have 8-10 cities each and decent (not max) military counts. Oh... and what about Tank kills? 3,185 tanks destroyed. Gee... Doesnt look like those tough opponents with above "pre-school" city counts were all that well defended afterall. Oh but wait... His casualty counts are much higher than his kills... Almost a million soldiers lost and nearly 6,000 tanks. Still not all that much fighting, but maybe his opponents did fight back... or maybe its that he was the victim of their attacks. Were you the one who bailed him out? Dont bother. We arent the ones doing the crying, complaining and making excuses when it comes to fighting. You also fail to account the way that war mechanics have changed. And that TEst had a no-tank policy for a rather long time. And that during Beta, I dominated quite a lot. I expanded too much this time to war every week like you guys. But I'm not going to waste hundreds of millions of dollars to downsize so that you can attempt to play with me. And all of that aside, just because my stats are lacking, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I know that's how I got millions super quick. Hitting small alliances or unaligned. Now you get a chunk of cash from the bank when you attack people. So you puddle jumpers attack the heels of alliances because you know that you would get utterly wrecked if you hit upper tiers. You may get a few shots out, you might even take a good chunk down. But you'd rather stay low and raid the lower tiers so that the alliance can't do anything about it as they're too high to fight back. But I forgot. You guys are "raiders" and these are all "raids." Not wars. Didn't Emily claim that same thing with VoC back in Beta and get stomped into oblivion? Didn't other alliances try that same thing and get stomped down just the same? Maybe you won't get stomped down this time or even next time. But some day, you will. Phiney Posted March 9, 2016 Share Posted March 9, 2016 people forget that it took months and months to get anywhere near an 8 city nation at the beginning, and 3 or 4 months in having more than 50 ships was a huge deal. Just because you can more damage now in a single war than you could then in 3 world wars doesn't mean that shit didn't happen. I love when people get so het up in kills when every couple of months a whole new standard for amount of kills is set and it makes everything done before irrelevant. Other than soldier kills, your own stats aren't awesome. The fact that your soldier kills are so far out of whack with everything else suggests most of your wars are against people who only ever had soldiers.
