While this holiday is not native to Westerns, We embrace all excuses to revel and spread good cheer, and so We bid all a very Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!We also mark and celebrate the recently passed second anniversary of our time upon Orbis and give thanks and jubilation! The last year has been eventful, memorable, filled with both high times and low times; we have received much and given much, and for all we are much the Stronger and much the Wiser. Now on this occasion of jubilee We ask the continued blessings of the Seven Who Are One upon Seven Kingdoms, and upon all of Orbis. We give thanks to our forebears, We honor our friends, We acknowledge those who have been our valiant foes, and above all, We lavish praise and glory upon our members, the unbreakable roots of our Mighty Oak. As is Our Custom, we give action to voice, and mark this salubrious season and these most happy of holidays, this time of great occasion, by gracing and honoring deserving members with awards.The virtue of selfless generosity, giving unasked and unsought for the benefit of all, is truly great. They who do so truly follow the precepts of the Seven Pointed Star, and Honor the Seven. We can do no better than to honor those who embody this virtue. They are exemplars, shining forth as a beacon to others. As recognition of such philanthropy, we induct Alexei Nikolaevich, Jon Snow, Gandalf, Lyev, Lyro, Moridin, Sarah Walker and Steward into the Tourmaline Brotherhood, as full Members thereof. They may weak this badge and use the postscript M.T.B.In recognition of their continued and peerless generous actions, we elevate iTorchic and Aisha Greyjoy further within the Brotherhood, to the rank of Knight Commander of the Tourmaline Brotherhood. They may wear this badge, use the title “Ser†and use the postscript K.T.B.And finally, as recompense for their peerless generosity, and to mark them for all time as avatars of selflessness, We grant carvell; Sabriel, Duchess Bolton; and Valdoroth, Duke Drox the highest attainable rank within the Tourmaline Brotherhood, that of Knight Grand Cross. There are entitled to wear this medal, use the title “Ser†and to use the postscript G.T.B.As has always been, and will always be, men worthy of honor also live outside the bounds of Westeros. Though they may not worship the Seven, their lives of virtue and dignity honor them nonetheless. And Grealind of Cobalt Clique, we make a Knight Grand Cross of the Tourmaline Brotherhood, eligible to wear the medal, and use the postscript initials G.T.B.Furthermore, for great efforts and strides and in the Fields of Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy, in recognition of their efforts towards, and with, Seven Kingdoms, we grant the Order of the Star to Abbasmehdi, Partisan, and Tim Armstrong. They may wear the badge of the Order,and may they ever continue to serve as a model to mankind.Lastly, on this illustrious and joyful occasion, we elevate two people, one a member, one a foreign friend, to new rank and greater heights. They walk in rarefied company hereafter, as Peers of the Realm, Lords of their own land.Pfeiffer of Mensa, for staunch, unflinching, loyal friendship is declared a friend of the Crown. He is granted this crest, and we anoint him as Baron of House Qorgoyle, Lord of the Desert Marches, and grant him land and status commensurate with such honor.Ren, for continued excellent service, especially in working with The Tangerines, and for other sundry tasks associated with that work, is declared a Friend and Ally of the Crown. We anoint as an Earl of the Seven Kingdoms, and grant her Land and Status commensurate with such title.This we declare, in the Sight of the Seven, and with the Blessing of the Small Council, this the Twenty-Foruth Day of December, Two Thousand and FifteenSigned: Tenages, King Secondly, we've made a couple minor changes to our charter. Fixed some issues regarding a discrepancy in the size of the modern Small Council and changed some job titles. FA Head is now High Septon, and IA head is now Grand Maester. Governmental ChangesIn addition to proclamations of celebration, and grants of award, announcement of recent governmental change is also due. With undying gratitude for his long and distinguished term of service, We have accepted the resignation of Solomon, Duke of House Stark from his positions in the government of the Seven Kingdoms. Solomon has been a paragon of selflessness, of service, of competence and loyalty, a praiseworthy servant of Seven Kingdoms and a redoubtable friend and counselor to the Crown. As first Lord Commander of the Seven Kingdoms, and then Master of Whispers and Hand of the King, he carried out his varied duties with aplomb.. As King's Hand, he ably took the reigns of SK during times We were unavailable. A beloved and wise counselor, and most senior member of the Small Council, at 18 months of service, he will be missed.He has more than earned his rest, having carried out his sacred Duty to King and Country with honor and dedication. He will ever have a place in our hearts, in our Court, and in the annals of the Seven Kingdoms. We ask the Blessings of both the Old Gods and the New upon him. He remains now and forever, Our Friend and Ally, and We thank him for his service.This resignation leaves Us in need of new King's Hand. The King's Hand is the heir apparent, to serve as such is both a great honor, and a greater responsibility. It must be filled by an exemplar of loyalty, dedication; a leader able to take command, yet humble enough to listen. Our Charter empowers and enjoins the Small Council to select from their own number and the person best suited for the sacred responsibility. They have unanimously chosen Valdoroth, Duke Drox, Master of Coin, to serve as Hand of the King. We heartily endorse their choice. Hail Valdoroth.We also find ourselves in need of a new leader of our Foreign Affairs Department. It takes a man possessed not only of great virtues, but also of great self belief, to don a mantle worn by many past giants of the Seven Kingoms. The High Septon is the public face of the alliance, and more responsible than any save the King for ensuring the rocky shoals are avoided. After consultation with Our new hand, with the recommendation of his predecessor, and with the unanimous endorsement of Our Small Council, We are confident we have found an impeachable candidate for the office.And so, We declare that Luna to be a Friend and Ally. We promote him to the Rank of High Septon of the Seven Kingdoms with Responsibility for the guiding the ship of State and overseeing the Foreign Affairs of the Realm. He shall join the ranks of the Small Council of the Seven Kingdoms, Lord Equal to all others. I anoint him as Duke of House Harlaw, grant him their crest, and grant him land and status with the Seven Kingdoms according to this title. May he serve long, and bring prosperity to the Seven Kingdoms in all of his actions and deeds. Wilhelm the Demented, currently of The Syndicate, for his selfless generosity of spirit and great philanthropic endeavors while a member of Seven Kingdoms, is granted the rank of Member of the Tourmaline Brotherhood. Everything I said in the post about everyone else who received the award, and what it entails also applies to him, Signed, Tenages, Supreme Noob. Wilhelm.
