12/7/2015 - Color Scramble Vote!

Hey everyone,

 

We're going to do something exciting, and will likely be a one-time event. As you may have noticed, the in-game colors Pink and Brown aren't particularly popular. With that in mind, I'm introducing some potential new colors, and giving you (the players) the chance to decide what colors we have in game.

 

We'll stick with our current amount of 10 colors (plus Beige and Gray which will be unaffected.) I'm going to let you all vote and decide what colors the other 10 are, however, given 14 options (that means 4 colors won't make the cut.)

 

Each of you can vote for as many options as you'd like, though I'd recommend just voting for your top 10. I'd like to see as many people involved in this process as possible, so encourage other players to come and vote as well.

 

Voting will go on for a week, and sometime after next Monday I'll make an update replacing colors as necessary. With that said; let the voting commence!

If you're wondering what will happen if a current color gets voted out, it'll go one of two ways:

 

1) It's just one color getting voted out, and all alliances and nations on the old color will automatically be changed to the new color.

 

2) If it's more than one color, all alliances and nations on the old colors will be randomly assigned one of the new colors, and changed over.

You might be running a cached version of Yellow. I actually updated it so that it's more of a real yellow and less of a gold, and distinguishable from Gold. I'd recommend an F5 refresh to update your cache for the new version of Yellow.

Mayhaps with new colours comes new colour stock formulas.... Or even just the old one

Brown is getting the least vote because we don't have a lot of players in that colour. We are the only alliance in that colour. Sheepy, why do you have to do this? Why not spend some of your time trying to add that 'trade block' idea based on colour?

I can certainly tell the difference. If they both get chosen, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, but I think they're as distinguishable as Gold and Yellow in real life.

Add all the colors! Since the old system is dead and the new system isn't great, we might as well have a ton of colors for RP.

That didn't answers my question. How is this change going to solve the issue on the income stock bonus? It is not going to help that much because this change will have minimal impact at its best.

That particular shade of Brown is simply ugly to look at. Could be just me, but I won't be sad with it going away forever.
