[DoE] So Glad You Made It Out Of The Weeds ...
alex loves fash replied to Oh Tiniest Bird's topic in Alliance Affairs
Welcome to Orbis, little birds! This song isn't quite right but bird and bee start the same right? -
As Director of the Bureau of Diplomatic Incidents, Instigation Department and Commanding General of Operation Sherman's Will, I would like to thank all members of The House except for Italian Catholic Union for their participation in this operation. Italian Catholic Union has received a rain check on a total and complete Zero Infra razing - free of charge - to be redeemed at my discretion whenever I feel like fielding questions from high gov at 3AM again. But seriously, you're cool, Mao and no hard feelings. ❤️

Explicit sexual themes in nation name, cities, leader
alex loves fash posted a topic in Game Reports
Nation Link: https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=163329 Ruler Name: [omitted due to sexual reference] Nature of violation: literally everything in this nation's page is explicitly themed after sex -
Just commenting to contribute specific evidence (per the rules of this forum) that "they/them" is commonly recognized - including by the dictionary - to be a statement of an individual's pronouns and not a reference to Jewish people. I can also provide evidence privately (so as to avoid doxxing) of the common and effective counter-usage of the parenthesis by jewish activists including myself, and I am assuming jerkdotwad here. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2019/09/17/merriam-webster-adds-non-binary-prounoun-they-dictionary/

Remove recaptcha from declaring wars
alex loves fash replied to San Fortunado's topic in Game Suggestions
I don't think it's just privacy badger. I run noscript with a default allow profile and only known malicious advertising and news paywall domains blocked and it consistently takes anywhere from 3 to 6 rounds on some of these captchas. I think it would be prudent to upgrade some if not all of these checks to reCaptcha v3 which can do most of its user verification with no user interaction. https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/versions -
[PDNNA] National Figurehead Found Dead

The Pawsible Deniability Artists Guild has prepared the following art installation as a memorial to our dear deceased icon so that we may remember those who died honorably, defending the beauty of all cats. -
National Figurehead Found Dead By Jo R. Nalis, Pawsible Deniability National News Agency Capital City City - Pawsible Deniability Committee of National Affairs has confirmed that Pawsible Deniability's beloved figurehead, The Wrath of Kahn, was found dead at 38 in their apartment earlier this morning. Kahn, who wielded no power in their role, had been selected by consensus shortly following the nation's founding to serve as an icon for the fledgling nation. Their famous catchphrase, "Die Bart, Die!" - German for "The Bart, The!" - was even selected as the national motto. Other famous quotes of theirs include, "Lowtax says trans rights," and "You are visitor number six hundred and sixty six to this glorious nation!" In a statement, the Committee of National Affairs confirmed that no replacement for Kahn is being considered at this time. They were quoted as saying, "If every citizen's a leader those Dummköpfe won't know who to kill!" Detectives from Pawsible Deniability Investigation Agency have confirmed that this is being investigated as a homicide. Any individuals with information on this incident are advised to contact authorities immediately. -PDNNA

[NPO][FA]Imperial Decree - Regarding BK
alex loves fash replied to Roquentin's topic in Alliance Affairs
Hai frienz -
I believe that this is a violation of the following game rule due to the suspicious timing - the person making the report was embargoed by me shortly before making this frivolous report of something that did not affect them whatsoever, is explicitly not against the rules, and which was not raised as a concern by the player affected. Moderation as a Weapon Using (or attempting to use) Moderation as a Weapon is against the rules and punishable by a nation strike. An example of using (or attempting to use) Moderation as a Weapon is threatening to report another player to an Administrator or Moderator unless they comply with your request or demands. If someone is in violation of the Game Rules, you are obligated as a player to notify a Game Administrator (through in-game Messaging.)
-
Forum Name: Game Reports Link to Thread: Nature of Violation: Moderation Abuse The named player created a thread reporting me for supposed "embargo spam" despite it being clear that A: cancelling and re-instating an embargo once (since the game lacks proper editing facilities) is not spam per Alex, and B: the only possible aggrieved party is the embargoed nation, not a third party who received no notifications at all. Furthermore, this report happened shortly after I embargoed Isjaki's nation, leading me to suspect that this report is an attempt at retaliation for the embargo against them rather than any concern for my dear friends in Soviet Pennsylvania. I would appreciate if the moderators could address this abuse of the reporting system so it doesn't get bogged down by retaliatory metagaming.
-
Could someone please page Soviet Pennsylvania to the thread?
-
Oh hold on a second. Considering you are neither the target of this embargo, nor witness to the reason that necessitated an edit I think this stinks of some petty metagame just saying. I invite the actual player affected by this to comment, otherwise there's been no harm done here.

I changed my reason to remove a curse word after being advised by another player that was something frowned upon in this game. If you prefer I leave the curse word there, say so and I will gladly speak my mind.
