[Bank of Orbis Liquidation]

After working out the maths, we have made the following determinations

Shares in the Bank of Orbis itself will be paid out at 25%

Shares in mutual funds will be paid out at a rate to be determined, but will be at least 50%

It was determined that shareholders of the bank proper should take a larger hit than those invested in mutual funds, so their payout was set at 25%.  Mutual Funds exact payout will depend on how much is left.  Basically some safekeeps will belong to nations who are in long term VM or inactive, so some of their cash and resources can go back to investors, it's finalizing the math on what it actually there.

Also to further clarify somethings,

These are being sent manually, about 20 have been sent, this process will likely take through the weekend.  Yarr doesn't use the automation tools that other banks use, and I am being careful documenting what has and hasn't gone.

Yarr had no involvement with the Bank of Orbis and it's collapse.  We have been trusted by the relevant parties to handle this liquidation.  I suspect because they trust me more than they trust each other at this point.

This topic is not the re-litigate the issues surrounding the collapse of the bank and other issues, that has been done to death elsewhere

To more relevant things, Bank of Orbis held two kinds of account, a safekeeping account, and a cash only 'vault'

I received the safekeeping account listing earlier, so those will be sent first, once I finish those those, the Vault accounts will be worked through.

The assets of the former Bank of Orbis are now in the custody of Yarr.  After discussion with the appropriate parties, Yarr will begin liquidation of those assets.  The first phase will be the return of any moneys or resources that were stored with The Bank of Orbis for safekeeping.  It appears that we will be able to return these assets in full.

For individual nations, the return will be by direct transfer from Yarr Bank to the individual nations.  This will take some time, as there are over 160 individual accounts to process.  Nations with larger balances will be contacted before transfer to ensure they are prepared to receive the transfer (some accounts had >$1 billion)  Nations with smaller amounts will just receive it without being contacted.

For alliances with safekeeping accounts, they will be transferred to temporary Yarr accounts until such time as we can contact the alliance and either arrange a transfer or convert it to a permanent Yarr account

Not included in the first phase are those who invested in mutual funds or held shares of the Bank of Orbis.  Those will be paid out at a later date as the amount they receive is dependent on funds remaining after this first phase.

I will post updates to this topic as the distribution progresses.

[Quality of Life Improvements]

Two suggestions related to deposits/withdraws from alliance banks.

Make it so that the '$' character is ignored (currently if have a $ before a value, it doesn't send anything)

make it so we can use k,M,and G to send thousands, millions, or billions of cash or resources (for example so I could put 1M in stead of 1000000 to send 1 million food.)

An official Statement from Yarr!

Yarr and it's leader cctmsp13 want it to be known, this bank is not associated with Yarr other than it being managed by a Yarr member.  The alliance of Yarr holds no responsibility for investments lost due to bad loans.

Of course, I will not tolerate my members committing outright fraud, so if you have suspicion of such feel free to contact me, however even in such a case Yarr will not reimburse more than we can seize from Utter Nutter's account with us.

That said, I have reached an agreement with Utter Nutter to take the extraordinary step of (slightly) opening Yarr's books.  Utter Nutter has agreed that any client or investor in this bank may request to know the balance of Utter Nutter's account (both cash and resources) with Yarr.

There are people on this world who like to harpoon whales.  As both micro pockyclypse and Yarr possess many whales, such people are concerning as we would like our whales to remain un-harpooned.  As such we agree to the following:

micro pockyclypse and Yarr with share information on the position and intentions of whale harpooners.

micro pockyclypse and Yarr have the option (though not the requirement) to come to the defense of the other in case of an attack by a harpoon, and to coordinate such defense between themselves.

This treaty's terms do not apply to any attacker who is not a whale harpooner, and it is left to each signatory to determine who is and who is not a harpooner.

The initial treaty runs for 30 days.  At any time the signers may review the treaty and renew it for up to 2 months (61 days).  The treaty may be renewed an unlimited number of times.

The leadership is ex-pirates, as are the majority of members, however it stopped being only pirates after we decided to let the former leader of Terminus Est (the one before the current one) crash with us after he disbanded the alliance.

What were you doing (or trying to do): Transfer funds from one alliance bank (Yarr) to another (Benediximus)

What happened (describe thoroughly please): The transfer went through, the funds are now in Benediximus, but the transaction doesn't appear in the transaction log of either alliance (edit: it does appear in the Alliance Activity log, just not the Bank Transaction log)
