  1. As I've replied previously to Ana, I hope you find Orbis a better place than when you left it. There are no grudges here.

  3. I am not sure about the angle from which you're approaching this discussion tbh. Ultimately to beige or not to beige (i.e. cycling) depending on relative power in tiers is just standard Milcom practice, and has been in every war ever (while beige has been a thing that is) afaik. What I was trying to cast doubt upon is the notion that the large number of wars some people were involved in had anything to do with their tier occupancy. Yes certainly some people were beiged inappropriately 🤷‍♂️ whatever....the war is over now and we wo.....ahem sorry....we achieved white peace and we will now live in harmony forever ❤️
  4. Not so sure you can generalise on this issue given the tiering differences between alliances within spheres. Even within TKR, having a good spread across most tiers, doesn't support the war-count to down-declare connection. After putting the requisite effort in for the standard OWF fallacy fraught argument, my 5 minutes of subjective, blurry-eyed, under-caffienated research shows the top 5 TKR members by war count is: Indger 10c (a very hard pressed tier) Johnson Boris 9c (as above) Blink 33c (ok maybe this guy) Joe Schmo 3c (clearly not down-declaring on many folk) Bigmorf 23c (this guy is shady imo, don't trust him or his numbers 😂) I believe this absolutely proves me right in all things, and am willing to die on this hill so long as I don't need to respond to anyone who disagrees.
  5. Just starting figures to give the idea some substance. The details would clearly need to be looked at in the context of everything else to ensure it didn't break/void other aspects of the game. I agree that should such a change ever be made, perhaps resetting everyone to 0 would be in order.
  6. I like the general notion of making the approval rating functional in some way. The difference between capable and incapable players is highlighted by their ability to understand and play according to the game meta, and to assimilate meta changes quickly into the way the game is played at individual and alliance level. Having said this, I think game changes little and often is the way to modify games like this, and linking approval rating to a great swathe of nation features that are already somewhat complex may well be too much. Perhaps making it a modifier of national tax rate in a manner that overcomes the otherwise neutral influence this figure has to one's income? It needn't be a huge influence, but not completely inconsiderable either....perhaps a -5% to +5% influence on National Tax Revenues? 0-20% approval = 1% increase in NTR 20-40% = 2% etc etc. plus something equivalent for negative approval ratings ofc
  7. Shortened your post for you mate! Gives a less cluttered perspective on what your spewing at us. Enjoying your holiday are you btw??
  8. I too will make graphs for money 👍 all you need to do is tell me what political opinion you want the graph to support and I will provide!
  9. Oh absolutely. From the perspective of Rose just trying to win after being caught flat footed, there is no argument And before I bring up some other discussion points, I'd just say that in actual terms I am very happy with the way this war is unfolding for now, nothing wrong with burning pixels every now and again. Though in general the OWF performance leaves a bit to be desired (no real surprise there though I guess haha) Anyway, and I'm really no FA guru, being dimly aware of the various unpredicted entries into this war coupled with the rage broadcast against a HW hegemony, I wonder at what has prompted this. TKR fought to the end against such a thing not so long back, and we are very much the same beast as we were then. So what information have you that I do not suggesting hegemonic intent? There is yet to be any info intimating Rose was just the start of an Orbis wide rolling spree. I can vouch for the majority of my tier and up the boredom we experienced while draining the swamp. I can also vouch for the enthusiasm, general increase in player enjoyment and participation now we're on the receiving end (albeit unintentionally). I cannot see how this can be interpreted as a sphere intent on suppressing Orbis, as opposed to a sphere having some fun. That as an argument to join against HW in the absence of any ties is flimsy at best, but I think actually untenable. I think the only concerning thing is the anti-hegemon narrative that is being put out there against HW. The resurrection of that anti-IQ sentiment, despite such a devil not existing, and aimed at HW with the possible consequence of the sort of war we all undertook to prevent/avoid a year ago.
  10. The argument that HW has broken trust, sphere'd up to hit Rose with hegemonic intent is flawed. It is somewhat pathological in the unaligned/unconcerned to automatically conclude it necessary to develop an even bigger sphere to counter. To initiate a war with the intent of winning, valid CB or not, it is normal to obtain an advantage or two to ensure a quick and clear win. This is manifest in IRL military doctrine (at a super simplistic level this is a minimum of 3:1) and is also applicable here. Whining about a dogpile (especially if your idea of a dogpile is the reported 1.3 : 1) in the first instance is just that, whining. Bogging the public discussion down into tiers, city counts, militarization is just a straw-man tactic. In the current context it is only the inexperienced and small minded who are won over by such diversions. It is clear to me at least that Rose had it coming (however this is a different argument), and what may have been a war of a few weeks with a bit of back slapping and banter at the end before moving on has now deteriorated into tears from some, and the prospects of a somewhat more drawn out affair. Indeed the tears and rage largely appears in HW's opposition despite their numbers advantage 😂 Ultimately the current situation is not the direct and natural result of TKR and friends joining for the specific purpose of rolling Rose, but the conscious and fear driven inclination of what seems like close to 50% of Orbis jumping on the bandwagon to be on the winning side, or to otherwise just scratch that TKR induced itch hahaha PS. I will own to a certain TKR bias in all my published works, and as such I apologize to our current allies should I have under-represented any itchiness deserving of recognition you may be causing our opponents.
  11. Oh I agree As far as I can tell TKR and Rose are genuine semi-friendly adversaries, both of who are (were) intent on enjoying a contest in the spirit of the game (more or less). It is the hanger's on that interest me; the lickspittle 'mates' who put the boot in after the fact hahaha. They're usually the rowdiest on the OWF too, like old mate in VM a few posts up smh
  12. Why are you even here mate?? I do feel sorry for you though, as I can promise you that your grudges are no one else's burden
  13. So you manufactured a CB for Rose to use? Why? Which they didn't, but you seem to confirm they did have secret treaties and were milling up ready to hit us for some reason anyway. So before they even hit us, we had a CB. Furthermore, it is standard practice to position oneself to succeed either or both environmentally and with numbers prior to attacking. This may occasionally mean sphere'ing up, but would rarely lead to an NPO like hegemon which everyone is raging about against TKR. That would take another Roq and co which obviously Hollywood is not, the formation of which was clear...to roll Rose. To automatically call out this formation to be some sort of Orbis dominating hegemon is really just advertising your own issues with TKR (or whoever). Collectively yours and our other opponents posts just cannot compete on a platform of historical and logical consistency, or verifiability for that matter. However your arguments overwhelms all in salt, grudges, shady dealings and about-turns. I can't say as your actions are worthy of much respect @Alexio15 though I'm sure you have your reasons like every true politician hahaha the crem floats to the top. Good luck to all participants anyway, whoever your leaders are 😃 we will burn pixels at the behest of the few.
  14. Nice way of saying Rose had a CB without actually saying what it was. What was it again?
  15. Gotta love this fixation with rolling TKR! I'm sure my colleagues are as flattered as I am that it takes such a phenomenally large collection of mupp...shee...independent morally consciencious alliances to hold us down 😂 Good luck and have a nice day hahaha 👍
  16. I would engage with such a mentality so as to change their minds...simple. The downstream effects of this are incalculably more positive than otherwise. For some it's easier to censor them, shut them down and stoke outrage (a weak-minded response imo), but hardly productive and usually driven by personal agendas rather than altruistic ones.
  17. Without which we let someone open their proverbial mouths, we would never know how truly stupid they are 🤣 furthermore, by desiring the silence of others are you not tacitly advertising your own want of character? Whatever...part of the disincentive for many who might otherwise engage on the OWF is the prevailing attitude that sheer volume and moral outrage is superior to quality and reasonableness of argument. It is not by the way. The insufferable raging and moralising against fascists and other undesirables can surely be taken somewhere else? Here's a thought, mute the keyboard warriors who trigger your precious emotions, and be happy...or more importantly allow others to be happy 🍻
  18. Sorry I didn’t check you out as I’m on my phone rn. TBH I don’t really know anyone in TFP, so aside from the gagging thing, I assume they are comprised mainly of the standard somewhat biased humanoid specimens that can be found everywhere else in Orbis. Also, assuming the best in people is a good habit I think, not often practiced on the OWF unfortunately. It is also safe to assume that two totally different perspectives on the same issue can both be quite logically sound (not necessarily correct though 😂)
  19. @Phoenyx welcome to Orbis 🙂 Trying to get an true understanding of things by reading the OWF is a bit like googling symptoms to find out why you might be feeling unwell...unless you have a relevant background and experience it will most likely lead you astray! Glad to see you’re no longer in an alliance that’d rather gag you, instant political and HR fail from TFP gov imo. Do yourself a favour though and stick with an alliance for longer than a few days, the true value this game offers is in the communities that play it. Also this war is a bit of fun, and is a good part of the game so don’t wish it away too quick haha. There’s a lot of IQ name calling going on, but really it’s just people trying to get a rise out of their counterparts.
