  1. I'm not involved in any back channel secret FA chit chat my friend, but I don't think I'm completely deaf either. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark though and suggest you lot misinterpreted comments made somewhere in jest, or are just plain making stuff up. Also there is an apparent lack of trust consequent to your last chaining war which now I guess means you just have to lie in the bed you've made for yourselves. I'm not however reading any sort of profound rejection of the practice from the player-base in general. Personally I think it's in the same realm as dog-piling, a valid, if somewhat inglorious strategy that shouldn't be misused. Additionally, I think it quite an imaginative leap to say we 'signed' Ro$e, when in fact it is a clearly time limited clause within a demilitarization agreement and otherwise very different from any sort of treaty. Continually calling it a treaty or anything like it doesn't make it so. As an aside, I'm always here for cuddles if you need one
  2. Old is when you stay contracted with Telstra so you have someone to argue with every month! Gotta keep the heart pumping somehow
  3. I can confirm that before this temporary agreement we members of HW were not exactly quivering in our boots at the thought of being attacked by either (or both) Clock and BR. If you think we in HW are pixel huggers you are a noob or an idiot. Having yet to receive an invitation to the decision making channels of our sphere, I can only surmise that we (and presumably Celestial) would rather pursue our own goals on our own terms without being drawn into Clock and BR’s little drama. It is funny to me how such a time limited and trivial clause (trivial if everyone is being honest that is) has caused such a fuss. We all know there is little love lost between our spheres, but it seems we are of similar minds when people try to call the shots for us. People sure seem to moan about how bad or boring politics is when it doesn’t go their way.
  4. I think any war arising between 2 or more spheres where treaties are activated and unequivocally impacting Orbis on the whole i.e. market impacts, political alignment alterations etc, is sufficient to label it a global.
  5. Liked because of your side note Would it not be then that MInc and Oasis set the precedent?? I think at least we've been honest and transparent about the situation. I do not recall the same previously. You might see this as a genuine political move to protect against more of the same purposeless and sleep inducing bs underpinning many of the more recent global wars.
  6. I think there's enough recent irksome history between the various member alliances of Celestial and HW to discount any suggestion of an established MDP. Anyway it is quite clearly a time limited arrangement for a specific and articulated purpose, that provides some clarity in what has otherwise been a very foggy situation of late. Really you all seem to be just raging because you can, not because you should.
  7. The cheap stats shop is closed! We’re doing you all a favour really by giving you the opportunity to earn the stripes you so desperately desire.
  8. Dude.....google the word 'simulation' Also you have a communist themed nation perhaps a moment of reflection is in order! I only contribute because posting pictures of burning bodies is out of place here. I do not think it really qualifies as offensive, but definitely lacking good taste and form; there are kids who read this forum!
  9. You want to be watching the original series imo.
  10. 1. A fairly valueless addition to the war system imo especially if… 2. You implement this one is probably not too bad an idea. Will certainly alter the dynamic of the war system considerably though it would need to just end, not result in a win/loss situation. 3. (Assuming beige time still stacks) No no no please no! Whether the intended purpose of the beige system has been realised or not in the eyes of the creator/dev team, it is a lynchpin mechanic in alliance/bloc level tactics and is a great aspect of the current system. Even if you disagree about its merits, I think you mess with it at your peril. I think it too big a change with the risk of unintended consequences excessive. 4. No and why??? This is an unnecessary complication IMO. 5. Maybe I guess, though with all the beige time that’ll be dished out with your other changes, there’d be no one to use the extra units against.
  11. Relax buddy, it is aimed at your whole sphere And you are quite right, I should have replied to someone else, but between my dicky connection that likes to delete my transcendent remarks and my oh so deep little rabbit hole here, it was your ear that was bent. @KingGhost Please accept my apologies. And for the record, I also do not share much concern about the tiering, though it be no longer in our favour. The numbers I've looked at indicates that by degrees it is now more in your favour than in was in ours previously, though not appearing horribly disparate on the whole.
  12. Not mad my friend, but quite reasonably interested and concerned about where this development will take us all. Also comparing this t$/Rose thing with anything TKR has done is IMO a flawed approach. TKR doesn't throw a tantrum and refuse to play on equal terms. TKR doesn't opportunistically hit opponents already heavily engaged in a global with no CB. TKR doesn't hold on to Orbis damaging personal grudges against alliances of <40 members who can't reach the majority of players. TKR doesn't generate massive responses to appeals such as HC's post. The difference between us my friend is not our actions in and of themselves, but in the driving forces behind them. You are most certainly blind to our differences. This is not a personal attack mind; I am certain you are all wonderful individuals, but collectively you guys are like a 6'4" toddler who thinks they're in charge of the game.
  13. Please might you explain what HW move you are disappointed with? Is it simply that Grumpy are a member? Basically any sphere Grumpy signs up to will attract the 'upper tier consolidation' argument, and I do not think there is anything that can, or should done about it. Anyway IMO the tiering presently is neither here nor there, though we've lost the upper hand in the most versatile and powerful tier(s), it doesn't appear excessively problematic given the number of variables that may influence their relative power in war. As for the 40+ tier, I'll maintain it is a pointless thing to get excited about militarily. If we scrap again it'll be an interesting one because we won't de-mil and bail out. If we have a larger number of active nations than say a couple of years ago, I think the development of blocs would be a natural evolution. Hypothetically I also like the idea of a return to the precedence of alliances (not a thing I've seen), kind of like the multi-polar micro-sphere thing. I think though this amounts to swimming against the tide of human nature.
  14. Nice theme for your post 😀 In the context of recent history, you lot throwing your teddy and refusing to play in the last global (which was pretty evenly matched), followed by this move suggests our future holds little else other than another war hahaha Maybe I’m wrong though, my strengths lie not in creative thinking and politics, but rather in vaguely antagonistic, single minded OWF contributions. Where do we go from here friend?? Will you commit to a premonition??
  15. In general I think the only fair tax rate is a flat tax rate! However life in an alliance is more than just taxes and personal economic benefits, but the folk in it and a shared sense of direction. I guess it boils down to an individual’s assessment of whether their alliance is worth the taxes they’re expected to pay. I’d pay 100/100 for the right alliance regardless of my own political philosophy.
  16. I think we’ve chased the dev team away 🤣
  17. I’m pretty sure we’re not the only ones. Anyway given the initial and ongoing investment required to keep earning an appreciable amount when playing baseball during times of war, I think it reasonable to allow it to continue to be unaffected by blockades. Given TKR was on the receiving end of the worst of NPOLT, and as a baseball player (amongst many) grateful for it as a source of income at the time, I fail to see how nerfing baseball could be a good thing from this perspective. Baseball isn’t taxed afaik so how could a farm benefit an alliance by playing it? (a farm being illegal in the first place). I really think the core of the agenda is the noisy minority who don’t play trying to disadvantage their active opponents who are willing to put the effort in to not be trod on; high city count , high infra pixel huggers if you like! I think the bot thing has been poorly sold as an argument in your favour given the trifling amounts in question. i remain a staunch opponent of this measure! I remain a staunch proponent of measures that target bot users and other rule breakers.
  18. @Prefontaine you say it’s not a core mechanic, or at least not intended as a core mechanic, however tell that to the hundreds of folk who use it during war allowing them to play the game to its fullest capacity. This change could cause instability and power imbalance in the gameplay elsewhere IMO. Also $6mil extra daily being earnt by such a small percentage of players, even if it were bots, is such a piddling amount hardly able to unsettle the broader Orbis economy. Honestly @Alex I think there are bigger fish to fry. i don’t support a hard cap at all, though if one is coming anyway, then it should be the highest amount possible.
  19. I think it very wise that you've arranged a protector for your alliance, there are a lot of nasty raiders out there!!
  20. Might you update your OWF profile then? A small courtesy to the rest of us
  21. The link associated with your forum account leads to a deleted nation. Justinian can't delete your nation, so it was either you or Alex. also:
  22. So you've got issues, maybe even some valid ones, but have deleted and this is your parting shot?? Not the sort of thing a righteous person would do, much less a stoic Roman.

Orbis wasn't ready for those transcendent, meta-changing insights so briefly exposed in my folly that fateful night. 'now I just have to remember what it was'

. good lord, when you choose to post something dumb, how on earth are you supposed to delete it??
  25. My big truck is feeding your plants all you lettuce eating, fart hating, cherry picking deniers of history! ♥️
