In my area, lots of small family owned businesses that are already having trouble due to the corona virus, are now being looted.

Disgusting. How can you be a human being and commit atrocities against innocent individuals like this? The murderer of Floyd was arrested, what more could you possibly want? Justice was and is being served, why ruin your reputation by acting like terrorists?

If mass executions were legal, do you picture yourself sitting home with your family in a few days or on a firing line? Think about that next time you are rioting.

Free speech? Yes. Protesting? Yes. Rioting? Go frick yourself.
Running over cops, beating up innocent civilians, razing city blocs? You are the scum of this great country, and the Earth as a whole.

I get the frustration, I really truly do. What that evil and misguided police officer did was unacceptable. Yes there are bad cops. But there are also many...well.....okay cops. And some really good cops. They have families and lives and their own issues as much as anyone else.

Did you know that Floyd and the cop that killed him worked at a nightclub together? What if the cop killed him over something at that nightclub? Why does everyone jump to racism? Maybe it was racism, but did you know that 2 of the cops weren't even white?  Oh, this is the real kicker. Since 2015, 4,728 people across the country have died in police shootings and approximately half - 2,385 - were white. Out of the remainder, 1,252 were black, 877 were Hispanic and 214 were from other racial groups. That doesn't look like racism if I do say so myself. If anything, maybe whites are being targeted? You don't see "White Lives Matter" when a white guy is killed by a cop, now do you? 

There was many issues, and that cop was a shitty cop period. Still doesn't validate the anarchy occurring around the country.

As of now, ~50 officers have been killed or seriously injured in riots around the nations. Many have families that are either left behind or have to pay for medical care even when money is scarce.

Thousands of innocent civilians are being injured and/or killed, now including friends and family members of mine.

Businesses are being ransacked and many will not recover.

If you are marching and protesting, that's fine. Continue. It is your right.

If you are attacking police officers, civilians, destroying businesses, et cetera...well....let's hope you and I never meet. I may be scrawny, but I am an excellent shot.

Right so, I had a depressive bout again which was great. But I did notice something, you find out who you truly love when you are in your worst moments.

If you go through a situation where either you are going to die or feel as though you want to die, whoever you think of when you are in that moment is whoever you truly love.

Cheesy I know. Just go with it lmao.

Anyway, I didn't think about my family or friends. I had one person in mind and that's how I was able to fall asleep. 

Basically, in a bad situation think of who you love (family, partner, friend, otherwise) and it will relax you a bit. Maybe enough to recollect yourself.

Doubt is a common human feeling.
So common that you may not realize you are doubtful. If you have ever looked at yourself and thought, 
"I can't do this." or anything along those lines, you are doubting yourself. 

Don't get me wrong, a healthy dose of doubt will give you a cushion for stupid mistakes. If you think you may be doing something wrong, humor it. If it persists, try and locate why you are having this doubt.

If no matter how hard you look to find where the doubt stems from and you still can't, then try whatever you are doubting anyway. (Holy Christ that was a mouthful.)

I think doubt is too broad of a word tbh. If you are doubting yourself, it could be a gut feeling or a feeling of self hate. If someone else is doubting you it could be out of love or contempt.

I was speaking for the first of the two. In the latter (self hate and contempt), try your best to ignore the doubt. If you need, contact a friend and ask for their opinion. If they don't think you should do whatever you wanted to do then it might be for the best.

Sorry this was a short sermon, I'm not doing too hot today. I'll try and make it up tomorrow.

Sike, I lied. Today we are talking about being remembered after death! Yay, isn't this fun?

Anywho, yesterday got me thinking. I mean, everything does. But yesterday's sermon got me specifically. I have a whole list of future sermons because of yesterday lmao.

Today, we will start with why humans feel the need to be remembered.

I find it weird, tbh. I am guilty of it too, in fact my biggest fear is being forgotten.

Why is that? Some people spend their whole lives trying to make a name for themselves only to die all the same.

Then, they are dead. They don't know if they were remembered or not. They spend their whole life stressing over it, and they die like any other human being.

After I die, I will not know (nor care) if I am remembered or not.
I'll be dead.

And on that note, the greatest kings and the lowest peasants have dreamed about and wished for immortality. Some work their whole lives trying to find it. Only to die all the same.

People have a tendency to be afraid of death. It is only when death comes, that you realize that indeed life is short. And you wasted it on worrying about how short it was.
I made a sermon on this before, I know, but I am specifically talking about the fear of death.

I am not saying to not be afraid of death, mind you. Even I, who at times would welcome death, am still afraid of the eternal darkness in a way I don't even understand. It is hard wired into our natural and human brains to fear it. If you do not fear it, you may become reckless and apathetic in many ways. I am saying, do not dwell on it. You will die. We all will. Everyone you know and love, including yourself, will be forgotten.

A prime example of this is in The Art of War, by Sun Tzu. A lot of the stories he talked about of ancient commanders and leaders, are lost through the ancient chinese and forgotten. Even though they shaped the world, and without them the world would not be the same, they are forgotten. The man that started the first fire has long since been forgotten (assuming he did have a name in the first place). 

Let's assume somehow you do get remembered for thousands of years, like Caeser. The world will come to an end. As will the solar system, and eventually the universe. That's assuming humanity doesn't die out before then.

You WILL die.
You WILL be forgotten.

But,

You COULD live a good life.
You COULD love and be loved.
You COULD make a difference.

Worrying about being remembered will hinder that. Just be you, and do what is right.
