I would argue that that a huge portion of the remaining 86.4% of post were someway or another dealing with KERTCHOGG´s initial rhetoric of permawar and promises to totally destroy Colo B alliances, I think even forced disbandments were on the table by the most fanatical of KERTCHOGG posters in the first 2 months of this conflict when they had the upper hand. But I agree OWF topics rarely lead to peace and this topic is not an exception, personally I´d like the war to last till new year and start peace then for obvious symbolic reasons, but if it takes longer then it just takes longer, existential threats like thrown out in the first 2 months of the conflict by the initial winning side can not be forgotten and put aside that easily...

Rigging the poll to so no change could not be the most popular option, suggesting it during global war(when war mechanic changes in the past have gone horribly wrong) yeah something is fishy with this topic... But okay I´ll give my other 2 cents: option 1 is bad, you must delete spies as unit because killing only spies with em is stupid, nukes and missiles could only be nuked or missiled away, Fraggle would be glad. option 2 you can nuke everything so one nuke should realistically be able to kill all of enemy planes or tanks or what ever type of force you choose, not good at all. option 3 a little better but still the problem of nukes being realistically able to kill everything....

Better join a top 20 alliance, burn a few months more in the global war or not, there are some in the top 20 that aren´t involved. Get proper handle on game mechanics and lingo. Economic policies which ones you mean, in-game ones for your nation for example do nothing and are there just for show and role-play, alliance tax policies on the other hand are much more impactful part of economic in the game. BTW staying on none-aligned is the best way to get raided constantly in P&W no matter your nation size.

Back to OP, as stated in another recently locked topic many think war mechanics are "broken" allowing for long ass global wars, while I think that is true to a large degree, leaders/people are "broken" also- grudges, delusional thinking of equalising the "damage gap", more damage done being the only thing deciding the winner, soon there be harsh reps, willingness to drag shit on in hopes the other side looses more members then you, meaningless or not a treat alliances getting hit just because lulzs, unwilligness to put your membership first and give diplomacy a chance, stubbornly demanding ludicrious shit from the loosing side as peaceterms, neutralism similar to racisism only directed at neutrals, huge egos just not able to let shit go, hegemony building - Orbis has seen it all. There used to be wars here, even big ones, that were done in a month some conflicts even lasted under 5 rounds and stuff got handled, AAs could go back to normal peacetime shit, now that´s impossible and yes over all amount of resources plays a role but so do the people and memberships of AAs that are willing to accept long boring conflicts just in hopes the "other side" will give up first... So in closing this war I totally can see lasting till Christmas or New Years, maybe even longer...

Discord isn´t the only way, but activity is important. Growing with current war-peace cycles is for newbs, one city per peace will not keep your regular whale satisfied for long ... trying to coup or wanting to lead is all good, many ways to manipulate and use such members, even some of those ways may prove very effective and productive. It´s also about willingness to exist in such cancer that is Orbis and a mental attitude that doesn´t allow for loosing and quitting in the long run, some openness and ability to communicate properly in leaders wouldn´t hurt either and a lot of patience...
