Don't give this guy the time of day, Cal.

Note that I have no sympathy for TMC nor what they represent, but Minesome here is an edgy troll who uses Nazi language and symbols that make people uncomfortable even when called out on it.
That doesn't even begin to mention how he stole OPSEC sheets and documents from TMC and attempted to leverage them against them while hiding in BoC-affiliated alliances.  Yeah, he's in large part responsible for this whole second wind of the war for actions that aren't too dissimilar to the bank thefts your coalition claims to be against.

He should rightfully be ignored and left in hapless ignominy.

Cooper, you missed the irony of the Sheev quote! ?

  2. If I hadn't used all my forum picture posting abilities on the GoG Christmas card, I would have absolutely shown you the very amusing screenshots from my in-game messages with this catastrophe of a bank. However, seeing as I did use them all, and the fact that I couldn't do anything more to embarrass Aiyr Bank than they've already done for themselves in posting this thread to begin with, I'll refrain. Let all micro banks learn from the Tragedy of Aiyr Bank the Unwise - record your transactions competently and don't attempt to threaten GoG with your micro of a bank that's protected by an alliance we're already at war with. But thanks @Royal Confederacy for the quality memes :)

Most of the discussion has revolved the concept of picking winners on certain criteria. How about making it not about anyone winning in particular and each group could present its opinions about unaffiliated alliances they'd consider for each?  So someone not affiliated with coalition B  but with Coalition A would pick 2 between those.  Someone not aligned with either would pick one of each for each category. Someone from Coalition B would pick two from Coalition A. If the motivation is to have a community event, then this way of doing it where people have to evaluate other groups might be beneficial and would eliminate the concern of there being an invalidation of the popular vote.

I feel like this wouldn't avoid attempts at sabotage. Either Coalition might pick the least relevant member alliances of each Coalition to pick so that the prominent, outspoken 'enemy' alliances don't get the awards, even if they'd deserve them more. And then you'd also run into issues of who from each Coalition you'd pick to do the nominations and that'd just turn into an absolute mess.

I haven't read through the entire thread, just the first page or so, but I'm gonna throw in my two cents. I can see where everyone is coming from with their criticisms of both systems of awards, there is obviously no perfect solution so why can't we just let them coexist? Hope specifically pointed out that this whole other system was just for fun so that the community could be more involved with developing the actual awards rather than some random person just picking the categories. For me personally, I missed the period for nominations and voting in the official awards, which I was disappointed about, so I saw Hope's system as a fun chance to get involved in the awards and involved in the community. I don't think it's as politically undermining as people are trying to make it out to be. To my knowledge, the people organizing this never attempted to establish themselves as the official awards of the Orbis over the ones that were done in the forums. I think the system is fair - alliances can't nominate themselves and the nominations are done in private. This alleviates political pressure to nominate only your alliance or your coalition as a show of good faith to your allies and actually allows the nominations to be based on consideration and thoughtfulness. I think the Coalitions need to put down their hatred of one another for a hot sec and recognize awards for what they are supposed to be - a chance for the community to come together outside of the battlefield and appreciate all the crazy things we've done together over the past year. ?‍♀️

  5. Awww coop! ❤️❤️❤️ I second everything you said about PnW and this community. I’ve met some of my best friends here and made amazing memories. Whatever goes down in the political sphere I trust that our community will continue to prosper through the chaos. Let’s celebrate the holiday season with some peace in the Orbis y’all! ?

  6. If someone is gonna spend enough time clicking each day to play 10,000 games then I think they’ve wasted enough of their life that we should take pity on them and let them keep their hard earned pixel dollars. Nerfing gets a no from me chief.
