Simple question, actually, and a simple, random discussion I decided to make. See, in recent years, it feels like modern pop music has gotten really really bad. The Bieber years sure, had a pretentious Teenage Prick who treated his fans like crap, and honestly, started this whole craze of awful people becoming famous in my book(The Pauls are his legacy, indirectly, as well as Rebecca Black, LeafyIsHere, etc..).
But that seems to have been a prelude to not just the awful qualities of many famous celebrities today, but also how awful their music is. Yet, they become extremely famous, and their song is usually a love song of some sort(From my experience at least), and gain raving fans. It's quite mind boggling honestly.
A lot of these people are also so fake, as well as just talentless in their field. Many where considered uncharismatic before their rise to stardom.
It feels like that we as a society have traded actual talent for good(often artificial) looks.
What do you think of this? Is this a genuine issue you see in society, or do you have a different opinion?
