boring normies who think that by standing still long enough to where any alliance "makes it" with years at its disposal brought the game to a halt at least a couple of years ago though many had been "working hard" at it for longer than that. truth is attempts at creating exciting timelines for yourself, your group and the game at large bring risks and many of them lead to "failure", though its only failure to those who feel that by doing the same thing thats proven to be succesful for basically 90% of top alliances is some kind of succes. its not, youve denied yourself the satisfaction of being an imaginative individual. most people would rather comfortably walk the beaten path so they get a bit of authority over some rando drones than develop some degree individuality, just like in real life. there arguably nothing wrong with that in real life where there are meaningful things outside ones career, but in a game where the players create the excitement, people adept at or even just bold enough to try fresh oblique ways to play this game have a hard time justifying the time sink required to make progress and of course find their entertainment elsewhere. sad thing is we ve passed the threshold where we have the critical mass required to give these sort of people motivation to get involved with the game in that manner long ago, and without other like minded people to go against and create excitement it just feels lonely and futile. so its just all the "accomplished" normies now being leaders of whats really the same alliance just with different names looking at each other kicking rocks wondering what happened. you happened and it just goes over your head what that even means.
also i feel the excessive pc culture period didnt help much either, but thats another story for another time
