  5. They have been there...but the current conflicts' causes are a lot more recent than that. Jewish people began migrating to Palestine in larger numbers during the late 1800s, then again around the onset of the First World War. After WW1 while under British rule the Palestinians revolted against British rule and the Jewish immigration to the area. Jewish militias were then formed to protect the Jewish communities. This was also the case a few years later as a result of the rise of Germany which caused larger amounts of Jews to relocate to Palestine leading to yet another Palestinian revolt. So no, they could NOT have lived there without "drama". Quite contrary, the day after they were declared a country the armies of four Arab countries...Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Iraq invaded. West Bank and The Gaza Strip were annexed by Jordan and Egypt under the treaty. Then in 1964 neighboring nations were diverting the rivers leading into Israel, this along with a partial blockade and movement of troops along their borders led to Israel attacking them in 1967. Israel succeeded in capturing the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights taking the Golan Heights and taking back the West Bank. Then in 1973 Egypt and Syria attacked on Yom Kippur, even after "winning" Israel gave back the Sinai Peninsula and do not have complete control over Gaza. This alone goes against your view that they are just on a land grab. The 1978 conflict was when Israel invaded southern Lebanon to destroy PLO (terrorist) bases in response to attacks that killed many Israelis. Then BOOM we get to the modern day stuff in the West Bank and Gaza. So it seems to me all the people who accuse Israel of being aggressive are mistaken because they only attack in response to direct threats. Do you think the US would let a country launch missiles at us without any repercussions? Or state sponsored terrorism? All this said I think both sides need to make concessions, but because I actually pay attention to world history I just can't feel that Israel is the only person to blame. And the most annoying thing to me is when people blame it all on religion, come on people...it's really about territorial integrity. The only people who really give a crap about religion are the radicals on both sides. If it was about religious tolerance this whole issue would've been solved long ago.

  11. Tanks make a big difference if you are fighting someone with a lot of soldiers. Cost more but I would personally recommend having them.
  12. But you said... So if they aren't in their grassy fields in such a small country where are they?
  13. There is proof of them hiding rockets in schools and hospitals and such...watch Fox, CNN, BBC, PBS or whatever else floats your boat. I personally favor BBC. However on your point about them not usually touching the ground...you do realize a Hamas rocket on average costs about $900-1,200 while an iron dome Israeli rocket costs 50k on top of the base battery cost. That's why you can't say "they hardly hit the ground"...Israel would literally go bankrupt defending itself. And you are right, they do have the grassy areas with no housing in Gaza, however their preferred location for the rocket launch sites is Gaza City because they know Israel will hit them with airstrikes or artillery which is what they want. Then they get to as I said...parade the civilian bodies for the western media.
  14. I personally prefer Chrome, just seems to work better. Never really could get used to Firefox during the short time I used it.
  15. I support Israel as well, come all ye haters! Hamas fires nonstop rockets into Israel daily, anytime Israel retaliates they world is like NO, you can't do that!!! It's not Israel's fault that Hamas intentionally hides their stuff among civilians then parades around the bodies of civilians for western news cameras, if you are going to play the blame game then point the finger where it belongs.
  16. Great addition, makes it a bit more complex. Also adds another way for better alliance communication!
  17. Well used to be, not sure if he is now. But he is an aggressive player, guess you just have those people sometimes. Also tried to swindle me in a trade agreement before haha... Gotta love him.
  18. Interesting. Seems to be aggressive, I shall embargo him as well!
  19. Eh, people are rude sometimes. Not all people act that way towards new players, I personally figure if you help them out then later on they may return the favor.
  20. Europe: Coal Iron Lead Asia: Oil Iron Uranium North America: Coal Iron Uranium South America: Oil Bauxite Lead Africa: Oil Bauxite Uranium Australia: Coal Bauxite Lead Hope that helps!
  21. Weird, honestly never look at that. But I can see how your suggestion could be useful. I think it's a good idea.
  22. I don't like this idea, there is already a kind of spoils of war in place for that. But I do have a suggestion that is somewhat similar...people should be able to demand something in a peace offer. (money or some resource)
  23. I would say 10, that's a fair number of members to be "established". But of course I would say you can't have all new people otherwise it's just a band of new players. Need some older people for military and economic support.
  24. Welcome to P&W, good luck! And welcome to the forums as well.
