  1. Trump was THIS close to negotiating a deal with the Democrats over DACA and thereby funding the government, albeit temporarily, as well as the Democrats agreeing to fund a partial wall but not the whole thing, until hours later he turned around and said there was no deal and said the border wall is not up for negotiation. But then, he said to a group of Republicans and moderates in a closed door meeting that he'd be willing to concede border wall funding in order to keep the government funded temporarily. You need 61 votes to have a bill considered in the Senate. You need 51 to pass. There aren't 61 Republicans in the Senate which is why people are blaming the Dems. When Trump said back when Obama was president that the president is to blame for a government shut down, he wasn't wrong. The president plays a key role in these negotiations. Trump dropped the ball completely. If he went ahead with the deal he had made with the Dems, the government would likely be open right now. Republicans control every branch of government (we're not including the judicial branch here because let's remember that justice is blind and should not be privy to the political whims of those in control), and yet they are unable to strike a deal with the minority party. Some people will say it's because Dems are greedy and sore losers, but this is far from the truth. Dems have been conceding issues since day one of these negotiations, even went as far as giving funding to the border wall when they said they wouldn't. Let's not forget that ever since Republicans came into power, they have not included Dems in many of their legislation discussions, and passed the tax bill without the Dems completely. They've been using closed door meetings to pass bills. What then do you expect the Dems to do when they FINALLY have a chance to make the concerns of roughly half of the entire population of this country heard? You bet they're going to do it and they should, because this is a democracy and not an autocracy.
  2. Is this a coup or something or are you just really bad at transitioning into power?
  3. Also can we please talk about how Roz conveniently chose Hispanics and Black people to be the groups more likely to be criminals, and white people and Chinese/Japanese people as the good guys?
  4. People from Central and South America, and Africa are some of the nicest and most culturally diverse people I know. In fact, they tend to be the type of people who are more focused on the welfare of their family and neighbors. Roz likes to talk like an American but in reality knows nothing about the state of immigation in America or what these groups of people are like. How about you stick to UK politics instead of pretending you're Trump's mini-me. Roz believes these places are shithole countries, which he admitted in the KT server. They are undesirables to him. And why? Because Trump said it and Roz can't seem to separate Trump's opinions from his owns.
  5. Maybe everyone who joined in did so because they don't like you and not because Zodiac is weak. I know that's hard for you to accept but acceptance is the first step.
  6. Yeah since you can't win in game you just whine on the forums. Nice retaliation.
  7. EMC could've went to war with IQ and won but they decided not to because of their own narrative that IQ was so strong and powerful. One statement I do not agree with in the OP is that IQ isn't a hegemony actively seeking to sign more treaties. I think it's pretty clear they would sign more treaties if they had the chance despite their current domination over the game. I don't think they are quite there yet, but it will really only take 1 more alliance joining IQ to make that point valid. And I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
  8. I love how Zodiac was trying to be nice and then this happens lmao. Word of advice, don't try to be nice to nazis.
  9. Everybody quick! Seize the means of production! We're behind 11 months!
  10. I never liked Lordran tbh. Doesn't have the same ring to it.
  11. KT definitely deserved to enter in. Coming from me, that probably says a lot
  12. I personally don't think this has to be the end. But getting rid of treaties is also not the fix all solution. The issue is that the culture of this game has become what Placentina has described. If anything, the most difficult aspect of this game is a to maintain a fairly ok FA legacy/reputation. I think people have been getting so invested in this game that they can't help but hold grudges and attempt to brutally character assassinate the people they dislike. The reality is everyone is responsible for their own manner of playing this game. I am by no means an angel in this respect. But some times you need to step back, realize that perhaps you have become too emotionally invested in this game, and find ways to resolve this. I think people in positions of power have a lot of influence in how the culture evolves. You have the means of creating a community that is inclusive, friendly, and chill. One example of a community like this is CoS, in my opinion. Pixels, haters, etc. dont matter when you're having fun with a group of cool people. If we all want to continue playing this game, each one of us is going to have to find the time to do some introspection. What kind of culture do I, as a person, encourage? Are my actions consistent with what I feel is right? Are those that look up to me and depend on my leadership happy and feel engaged enough? There are many questions one could ask. Take the time, I don't think you'll regret it.
  13. omg lmfao this is the funniest thread ever. IQ never ceases to make themselves look worse than before.
  14. Merge Fark ? Disband KT Roll KT
  15. Is this in guns, germs, and steel? I was unaware of this and would like to see more evidence/writing about this subject.
  16. um I think you guys are forgetting people did in fact flourish outside of Europe and before Europe did. Think China. Think Egypt. Think Mayans. Think Incans. All of these people had a thriving civilization that was well beyond what Europeans were doing at the time. China is still around so kuddos to them. Egypt, Maya, and Inca died out because of European imperialism and disease. One could argue that yes, Europeans developed technology very quickly in comparison but if you take a look at the geopolitical conditions, they had to. It wasn't because they were special. It was because each European nation was surrounded by enemies ready to step across their borders and take over their land. Technology (back then) was a tool of necessity. It is in no way indicative of a higher IQ or cultural superiority.
  17. Oh yes you are definitely minding your own business while you post in public for everyone to see. The fact is you're cancer, a rather difficult one to get rid of, but with enough public support and funding I'm sure one day all of our research will amount to a cure for your presence here.
