  1. Congratulations on riding t$ coattails for just about three years! That's some crazy effort there, some would say... In all seriousness, three years is a huge accomplishment for any alliance. I've always been critical of CTO, due to Nexus just seeming to be followers so I'm excited to see what you can do now with BR. Heaven knows this place can use more voices pushing the political scene. Good luck this year and here is to many more!
  2. As the former sekrit hedge leader and current sekrit Johnson in disguise, you are welcomed. It's nice to see my influence runs deep.
  3. In what world do you live in that BW was not competitive with Clock or HW? Just because you guys gave up in the first round of the HW war doesn't mean you couldn't put up a fight. It just means you are lazy and blinded by the argument of Upper Tier Consolidation that you guys have preached about for so long. This whole narrative you are trying to spin is more telling about your inabilities to think outside the box than the reality you lived in. Sitting here trying to justify the creation a dominate 30+ bloc because of HW signing TI or Clock having BS is laughable.
  4. I was going to say something but hidude sums it up pretty nicely. Simply LMAO
  5. What alliance is going to dump all that cash into a noob they just met? If they want to throw that much cash away on players that won't stick around than by all means be stupid.
  6. Wana can use that excuse all he wants but everyone knows that BW was coming for HW the moment you formed. tS was posturing the first night. I dont really have a problem with the things you said or even Wana using the threat you made as an excuse since that's politics. Playing an aggressive style only works for so long before the community will clap back since that is just nature. It shouldn't discourage anyone from taking up the mantle.
  7. WUT was formed after GW1 when a coalition formed to fight them. Just a a normal progression of the world as the game had naturally split into competing factions. WUT (NPO and Friends) being one and League (Lue and friends) being the other. So no, you don't have to thank NPO for that. It's evolution baby! This game has evolved into a game of blocs not alliances since no alliance can do anything on their own thus its more beneficial to be apart of a bloc with unified goals than it is to lone wolf it. If we lived in a world where every Alliance matched up fairly equally than by all means go for it but we don't. Hell, most blocs barely match up close enough to fight a war without someone crying like Goldilock about teirs. "This tier is too big" Like SRD said if your alliance doesn't have a voice in your current bloc join a better one so you can play politics. Am I the only person that believes we are over thinking it when we talk about stale politics? So let's reel it back in abit. When I call out the politics of the game being dull I'm not talking about world shaking events not happening. They do, and it's pretty often. Quack breaking up, HW forming, Clock forming, Swamp reforming but than not reforming, the constant fear of the Johnsons. That's all less than a year. I'm talking about the use of back channels and tightly held secrets we pretend that are OpSec but not at all. It's time to allow more stuff to be shared with the regular rank and file members instead of the select few. It also really wouldn't hurt us if we could take some risks to create drama for the masses. Things like poking other leaders or alliances publicly instead of "SUPRISE ITS WAR TIME". I know this game's leadership has become too smart for the normal drama creating of years gone like spy rings but we still need to figure out ways to keep the membership interested and we have to do better. Lastly, this is a game. It's not personal please learn to separate the two. Not many people are aware that who I am in this game has nothing to do with who I am as a person. One of the things I hated the most while being a leader was hearing all the stuff people would say about what I must be like in RL because of the character I play in this game.
  8. Minus that time they accused Ockey of doing something wrong.
  9. I agree that the NPO comparisons need to stop but it doesn't take away the facts that you guys walk an unnecessary fine line. As much as you may want to believe that everyone here is complaining for some political reasons thats not really the case. Many of us are just simply sick of it. The worst part about it is that you guys don't even have the awareness to see how your actions hurts your position.
  10. There is no such thing as invalid reason for war as it is based around the perspective of the aggressor as to what is acceptable to them. The defender can argue it all they want but it does not invalidate the reason. The goal of fighting the CB is to win political capital for a war down the road or to make yourself look like less of a threat since you are being treated unfairly. Grumpy felt that over the years that the Syndicate has taken too many shots at them to simply walk away from so they decided that it was time to balance the books. This to me is acceptable as it is a fact that they have thrown down more times than anyone else and the most recent Rosewater dogpile serving as a prime example of it.
  11. It almost seems like you are trying to paint what HC said as laying the whole blame of the community faults on tS but that's not it at all. It is merely pointing out their seemingly inability to handle the game in a more sensible matter. People can handle politics, we encourage it but there is a right and wrong way in doing it.
  12. Talking big now that you sit in HW. Really tough, it's almost like you never panicked when two alliances miled before. Most people understood why Minc done it and viewed that a minor issue but what triggered the backlash was the fact that TI leadership kept preaching about things but does the opposite. Minispheres being the key.
  13. Now, I'm sure I'll get my head ripped off for asking this but... what's the point of the bloc inception you guys have going? Since all the members of Nexus are members of Blackwater it doesn't seem like it serves much of a purpose since BW was formed. So how does it all work? Which bloc gets prioritized? What's Nexus goals?

  16. There is still room for Grumpy in the Johnsons Family. Just think of how proud you would be when all your little kiddos grow up to be successful.
  17. You must be new here so I'll welcome you to the game. The Johnsons is the greatest collection of alliances this game has to offer. The wise grandpa Kev guides.
  18. Guess we can give an A for effort but please remember to put the crayons back in the box IRON.
  19. Have you ever tried it on double time? Trust me, you'll be a new man after it.
  20. Not sure if you are joking or not. Either way HW had no business winning or drawing that war.
