It would be nice if one could exclude/include applicants from the alliance member list. Think I'd want to keep an eye on applicants too in some cases.

No bounty anymore? Another error: http://politicsandwar.com/api/nation/id=22917 It's the escaped ' which is invalid. Apparently it's OK to have single qoutes inside the values without having to escape them.

Hi, another of these Apparently is invalid JSON (at least according to https://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/ ) It looks like it's the unescaped quotes around "Democratic" and "Republic"

Hi, http://politicsandwar.com/api/alliance/id=1972 looks like below and if I throw it at http://jsonlint.com/and https://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/ it says it's invalid. It seems to be the backslash in "\m/" and fix could be to escape all backslashes with backslashes .
