The 'motherships' house the much smaller 'fighters' outside of shipyards, and have enough firepower to defend itself. The 'fighters' are slightly larger than most modern aircraft and relay on their sheer numbers and maneuverability in combat, and swarm other ships. The 'battleships provide the main firepower in the new fleet. With the blueprints and schematics and some Imperium advisors assisting the project, the development will take about five months.

With this increase in size, the Republic had a sort of national pride: annexation through diplomacy. Western Germany annexed part of Tunisia and Corsica. In Italian and newly-annexed land German will be taught as a second language in schools.

Due to the fear of foreign colonization largely gone, states on the mainland are placed low on the list. Bermuda, two pieces of Alaska, and an island in the Pacific have been annexed and are now part of the United States. The annexation of Alaskan land was more reactionary as a domestic power was claiming a piece of the state. Bermuda and the island in the Pacific will serve as military base. Both island bases will serve to keep closer ties to the UNSC However, the Pacific base will protect the United States and serve as a jumping-off point for U.S. and UNSC operations.
