  1. I've engaged this discussion in Robert's server, if you want to have a look. https://discord.gg/6yMsEYSKXM Piggy acts independently, similarly to what I believe is Borg's MO (I believe several others pointed out their "wanderer" nature. I'm happy to contribute my DMs with Toxic to debunk the notion it was made clear Piggy would be hit on my end. Honestly, I'm of the opinion that had you tried to get a proper understanding of the situation instead of jumping the gun, you might have avoided her being pissed and nuking you and your allies, as I initially pointed out when we spoke on this. That boat has since sailed... As far as asking her to stop, I did do that in a capacity of a friend and to try to mend the rift between us. I believe that had influence in how she came to negotiate a peace deal with y'all much earlier than she intended. To my knowledge, she was stonewalled repeatedly. --- At this point I suspect this is because you (royal you, Aurora) wanted to set the stage for keeping a casus belli against us (including vis your allies) in your backpocket rather than genuinely sorting things out - so there's a breach in trust both ways here.
  2. Let's see... Roses are red, violets are blue uh... get bent Aurora, screw you. How's this for shit talking @Xi Jinping? TLDR: CTO recognizes the hostilities with Midgard, even if your reasoning is bogus.
  3. Krampus was rolled for his actions, so it was dealt with and the CB is null and void. I don't know about sweeping anything under a rug, but Aurora grasping at straws to declare war is amusing. We attempted to remedy the situation, as exhibited by my DMs with@Kan0601 (yes, I agree with you posting those, even if you didn't ask) and were stonewalled by either collective paranoia or plainly a desire to war us.
  4. \o Looking forward to burning files with our new friends. đŸ„°
  5. Battle of [Name Withheld] Preamble “The Battle of was a key engagement of the RedactedRedacted between the and Carthago, fought on 2 August 216 BC near the ancient village of in Redacted, to the southeast. The Carthaginians and their allies, led by Hannibal, surrounded and practically annihilated a larger and army under the and RedactedRedactedRedac. It is regarded as one of the greatest tactical feats in military history and one of the worst defeats in history. Having recovered from their losses at (218 BC) and (217 BC), the Redacteds decided to engage Hannibal at Cannae, with approximately 86,000 Redacted and allied troops. They massed their heavy infantry in a deeper formation than usual, while Hannibal used the double envelopment tactic and surrounded his enemy, trapping the majority of the Redacted army, who were then slaughtered. The loss of life on the Redacted side meant it was one of the most lethal single days of fighting in history, with only about 15,000 , most of whom were from the garrisons of the camps and had not taken part in the battle, escaping death. Following the defeat, and several other city-states defected from the to Carthago.” ----- Article I - Mutual Defense & Optional Attack 1.1. 6. The Elephant in the Room Several months after their ships had returned from the last war, Daveth paced the loud and dimly lit chambers of the Back Room, pondering restlessly on the state of things. There was much happening around the world, with many rumors swirling around as to what would take place, among them many people whispered - “What would Carthago do next?” In truth, he did not yet know. He walked to the door and stepped outside into the dark streets, finding Krampus there in his trench coat, smoking a cigarette, the Pentarchs around him. They walked together, drinking and catching up as they went, making their way to an abandoned building, with a broken roof. They stood there idly talking when suddenly the moon shone into the room, illuminating the former embassy of The Knights Radiant. In an instant their course was clear - maybe the Orange men weren’t so bad after all? Article I: Mutual Defense & Optional Aggression 1.1. The elephants of Carthago (CTO) and The Knights Radiant (TKR) shall coordinate and defend each other against all harm, military and otherwise. 1.2. Both signatories may also choose to join the other in offensive military action, if called upon. Article II: Non-Chaining 2.1. To Waldo’s great displeasure, the chains that bind us only go so far. In the event that a signatory is either attacked or performs an attack as a result of their obligations towards a third-party, Article I of this treaty is to be considered optional. Article III: Intelligence 3.1. Both signatories agree to share all relevant intelligence should it concern the sovereignty, political interests, and general well-being of the other; such as possible threats to elephants and mercantile trade routes alike. Article IV: Non-Aggression & Sovereignty 4.1. Both signatories acknowledge each other's sovereignty and agree not to interfere in each other’s internal affairs, resolving any dispute internally and in a timely fashion. 4.2. Neither signatory shall engage in nor endorse military, espionage, or political action against the other (except when nuking Morf). Article V: Cancellation 5.1. Both signatories have the right to cancel this treaty at any time, however, they must provide the other party with a 72 hour notice of their decision. After this period of time this treaty and its articles shall be considered void. Article VI: Very Serious Pledges 6.1. Krampus agrees to give Morf YIE. 6.2. TKR agrees that Rome < Carthago. 7. You could never predict that. Your Rose shilling script is clearly malfunctioning, please report to the nearest re-education camp, comrade.
  8. This joke is woefully undervalued for mythical accuracy.
  9. Don't worry about it, we're not only upgrading the website, but I'm told the hardware too.
  10. Objection! This is nothing short of an egregious breach of contract - I'm still militarized and I might just come for you, like that evil Clock person.
  11. I met Sval and OWR in easily the hardest time I've had in this game aside perhaps their departure now, for numerous reasons, largely unrelated with the game and rather potentialized by it and toxic treatment by members of the platform. They along with several others at the time, offered me hope - support that I did not receive anywhere else because of the political, IC, realpolitik nature of the game. They inspired me to take a chance on the game, to try to provide that same emotional support to members of the community whenever possible. At the end of the day, it's my opinion we as a community, often still forget that IC-OOC line, despite several precious, good natured people. It's nothing short of a tragedy to see them disband and move away from the platform. I wish them the very best of luck, and apologize wherever I may have failed, because you deserve the best.
  12. I like this Clock because it reminds me what I need to do in a few turns.
  13. You're lame for explaining the joke. Minus 100 cool points from Aurora.
  14. That's the least of my concerns, Changeup. This time around feels far more like a betrayal. We were told about this by a third party after it was already essentially a done deal to later confirm with them, after months of helping them with numerous things they were struggling with.
  15. I have to say in due frankness that this is easily the second most disappointing move in recent history. That being said, best of luck to the DP members, I will continue to root for your success wherever you go.
  16. My reasoning here is fairly simple, and I'll be transparent about it. Put simply any amount we offer up as a prize is directly at odds with our growth, this softens the blow and also limits the amount of people who realistically would sign up for the chess tournament, which could last more than a month with 40+ participants - something we'd likely be unable to manage with where our lives are. The alternative I see would be to remove the prize from the art competition and have it be a token/graphic one.
  17. Oh yeah, forgot to share this meme - enjoy!
  18. THREE YEARS ANNIVERSARY Today, 21st of April 2022, marks the celebration of the 3rd Anniversary of Carthago. It's fair to say we've been through a carrousel of events during the time since Egyptian Empire approached SPQR about a merge, which is something risky with a rare success chance - in our case it turned out to be a blessing along with our partnership with OWR, our longest standing allies. This was shortly before NPOLT began, as the first ever Global War we were involved in, a conflict where many doubted we would even survive at the start, successfully taking down Ming Empire, followed by IQ then actively working towards our disbandment alongside many others once we flipped the script and allied The Syndicate, getting blitzed for our maleficent insolence towards Brave and Beautiful BK (Superchola-X), that period is... bittersweet for many reasons. In my disgustingly humble opinion though, I'd say that's no small feat and that in our history we have consistently surpassed public expectations in several fields. A recent diplomatic example that comes to mind is the formation of the Back Room and separation alongside Nexus, concurrently to having declined the offer to join Ro$e, an event which made it clear our interests no longer coincided and ended a two year long partnership. Once you're around for long enough, you get the pleasure to witness a fair amount of things coming full circle. For instance, not that long ago Empyrea, a precursor of current day The Wei, was blitzing Egyptian Empire under El Chach. We saw our EE protectors Bad Company (RUM, Vox Populi, R&R) form and then get rolled during Ask Alexio - now we're allied with both The Wei and Bourbon Street. Two years ago, Politics and War lost what was then the only source of war statistics - we unveiled our first iteration of CTOwned jointly with our increasing ability in tech development, for which we can thank @Shamadruu, @evilpiggyfoofoo and @Krampus, giving that back to the community, something which @Borg notably also accomplished with Locutus. That being said, we intend to continue to make improvements to our website (more on that to come), some of which have already been mentioned publicly, and internally launch a new version of our bot, Hannibal, with many new exciting functionalities. Now before I bore y'all with what's become a history lesson and casual advertisement (which isn't the point) and move on to some of the events we have planned to celebrate, I'll get back on track to the message I want to convey towards diplomats, creators (coders, radio hosts, artists) and any aspiring individual within our community. Take risks! Meet people, learn new skills, create different, cool things just because - win or lose, you won't know until you try. ---- Art Competition (1st-10 of May) Each participant is required to pay a $5,000,000 entry fee, to then submit to Raven21#5083 a drawing, painting or GFX artwork of Hannibal of their own design. 19. No Kings, no Masters. Viva la Revolucion!
  20. Beautiful, I for one support this message wholeheartedly. PS: I've fulfilled my legal obligation.
  21. Hey, I was right again. Neat.
  22. Bold of you to imply they could, should they try. Maybe it's about time we crossed the Alps.
  23. Putting this out here before the Year is over. That aside, I wish the best of luck to Rose & co with the rebuild and a Happy New Year!
  24. Given how many legacy Alliances have disbanded in the recent past, I think it's reasonable to add this back in.
