With the collapse of the Republic of Exodus and Stanistan, and the establishment of the Socialist Ottoman Empire, several thousands of immigrants from those three nations have relocated to various parts of Europe to establish new lives. Reports about the number of refugees have varied- estimates of 30,000 to 45,000 immigrants from Stanistan and the Socialist Ottoman Empire have arrived at the borders of Hellenis, and the country is preparing for the arrival of former Exodians. For those seeking citizenship, the Department of Immigration and Border Security has lent their support, providing several resources and means for which they can apply, as well as collaborating with volunteer organizations to provide food and temporary shelter. However, some of the refugees- mostly from the Socialist Ottoman Empire- have expressed their desire for safe passage and entry into Kressnian Yugoslavia, which has already received several thousand refugees into its borders. For the safety of both nations and for the migrants, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has sought to meet with a representative of Kressnian Yugoslavia to grant the passage of the immigrants into their borders, and to also offer immigrants within the Republic entry into Hellenis.

Earlier today, the nation of Rokkenjima has announced the banning of travel of its citizens to 28 countries, as well as limiting the amount of nations permitted to visit for reasons unknown at this time. Despite the non-existent relationship, whether friendly or hostile between Hellenis and Rokkenjima, Hellenis has been included in the ban, leaving the government and citizens puzzled at the news, for they have held no issues with the citizens of Rokkenjima visiting the nation. The Minister of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern for the non-citizens- whether from Hellenis or not- that may be trapped within the borders and unable to depart. Although Rokkenjima’s Head of Foreign Affairs has stated that transportation for the non-citizens to their home countries would be provided, Hellenis will assist with their evacuation as well, and will not bar Rokkenjimians from returning to their home country or continuing to visit by any means. In addition, Hellenis expresses gratitude to Kressnia for their willingness to provide military aid if any hostile military presence from Rokkenjima is detected near their borders. An inquiry to the cause of this travel ban is being made; updates will be made when this information becomes available.
