  1. I actually think it's funny and lighthearted as well tbh. It's actually cool when an alliance / sphere not involved in a war posts something random like this.
  2. Mostly I am worried for Ockey because he's probably being held hostage somewhere, as I find it really weird he'd agree to this but oh well.
  3. That's good, means it ain't official.
  4. Being an HW member I'm the 1st to say there's a foul stench of pixel huggery coming from this. If you let Ockey do your FA we'd all have much more fun, just saying.
  5. No, it's called being a !@#$ and a scrub that can only fight dogpiles. Also welcome, The Federation! Since you have a habit of leaving globals early, doesn't surprise me to have you guys join this brave and beautiful war.
  6. They they brought in the commies now. Imagine being so dogshit that you need so many people to fight 25 nations. Bring in the Federation now lmfao.
  7. Lmao the Fear and Ob vs Fark was an even numbered war (and we had already hit WTF), I guess we're just too good that they needed to bring in a bunch of nations more (not to mention we're also fighting UPN) to avoid getting trampled. Good luck on your brave and beautiful war.
  8. Yep, I still consider t$ one of the most competent alliances in the game. I'm fairly biased because I was there for almost a year but they still have a bunch of quality members.
  9. Since Rose's change of leadership (and the fact that they sat out of this one, showing they don't hold any more paperless ties), we've actually managed to achieve a true minisphere meta, which is a 1st. Any old timer in this game remembers how it used to be, literally the 2 same sides fighting each other every single time, with a few exceptions. In the past wars were more frequently caused by hate of the other side, namely from the sphere NPO was a part of, and Roq didn't fool anybody as to who his real enemies were, which made wars very predictable and boring. Right now we have the healthiest meta we've ever had, sure you could argue that 2 of the spheres don't seem to embrace it but after the clapping they're getting for trying to break that same meta, I'm pretty sure this will serve as a cautionary tale to any alliance leader wanting to try something similar in the future. Sure this might end but I don't see any reason as to why, since current big alliance leaders, namely the 3 most influentiual (Rose, t$ and TKR) seem to support the minisphere meta. The only thing that makes me doubt a bit is some alliances' paranoia with HW's supposed upper tier consolidation, which hopefully will disappear since for instance Rose sphere also has a pretty vast upper tier, and BW and Clock have pretty respectable tiering as well. Other than that I can't see any other factor that could push for the dissolution of the minisphere meta in the near future.
  10. Eh this is interesting to say the least. These are 2 politically irrelevant spheres, any of the other 4 on the other hand have competent alliances and are capable of engaging in an offensive war even if they don't believe they're gonna get preempted. Furthermore, these 2 spheres are pretty bad, by far the 2 worst in game, so I doubt they'd be able to even carry out a preempetive strike on anyone big enough for them, which would be anyone half their size. This said, they just put a huge target on their backs. No one would have gone for any of those spheres individually unless it was a quick war for shits and giggles. On the other hand, props for at least making it public, as I remember (and know for a fact) Rose used to have a paperless treaty with Immortals not long ago, so at least here everyone can see with their own eyes. The comparison to IQ only makes sense in numbers, as IQ did have 2 big alliances who could fight (NPO and BK). What we have here is simply 2 groupings which are scared of being rolled, so in their naive minds they thought making something like this public would deter rather than draw attention to them. They should have gone about it the brave and beautiful way done by Rose under their previous leadership, through inter-sphere paperless ties which apparently aren't frowned upon for some reason like they used to in the past, unless the situation favors you, which is great for consistency but that's what we have now. So yeah good luck with this, although I suspect it's gonna have the opposite effect of what you were hoping for.
  11. Interesting, "formally surrenders" = admission of defeat, no? If so then props to Rose for being a class act and not insisting on white peace after we spared them from what would have been the most embarrassing L in Orbis history, after getting rekt by a coalition half their size, but I guess they just needed the ego boost. Can't wait to see who they blob together with next war for their 4th consecutive dogplie in globals.
  12. There's very few poeple who enjoy well fought wars. Those are mainly in alliances like KT or my own, seen as before this global Ob was rolling WTF who are twice as big and with higher average city count, at least counting the nations we could hit. We did the same to RnR a few months ago but they were only like 16 members and we were 11 or 12 but also with lower average city count. Most people care about winning regardless of how easy it is, and also about sphere domination. The old Syndisphere was the only grouping that went into wars outnumbered and dominated (bar HM last war - we went in with slightly higher numbers but knowing for sure we were gonna get countered, at least by TFP and WTF, but I kept telling Ockey Immortals were gonna counter), then there's been mostly dogplies, from TKR in the old days, to IQ and now to Rose who are performing their 3rd dogpile in a row in globals and are the new hegemonic power via what in the past was frowned upon: dodgy intersphere paperless agreements while pretending to be a detached sphere like Hollywood is. Because most people are idiots, they cry foul whenever they're dogpiled and then forget everything whenever they're dogpiling. I for instance have voiced my dissatisfaction when Papers Please turned out to be a disgusting dogplie, and to a lesser extent Duck Hunt, with my side performing the dogpile on both. The game is boring as it is, so when you take the only interesting thing away (fairly even wars), you simply end up with a vast majority of the playerbase in the biggest alliances who prioritize intersphere power struggle, and the few warmongers, who do enjoy decent wars where stuff like coordination is decisive, end up in small ones like KT or Ob.
  13. Lmfao a bunch of you acting so surprised. What did you expect from a spaz like Epi? They have 2 choices at this point: disband or go back to being a Rose meatshield, since they got so many already. Because anyone else will have the decency to tell them to take a hike after their actions and behavior in Dial Up. Trash alliance is trash and they know they can't survive paperless. They've been asking for retribution since Dial Up, and have only survived because they found someone willing to treaty them for some reason, so good luck making it to 2022. Otherwise good rddance.
  14. So I was bored and since I only become active when needed (mostly wartime), I decided to reflect on minispheres and how they're put into action in the current meta. For the 2nd global in a row, HM (the only de facto minisphere) is on the receiving end of a dogpile by 2 ,or more, supposedly minispheres. It's undeniable that minispheres promote more wars, seen as everyone isn't tied to the rest of the world. In theory this would be great, but in practical terms what we have is the following: 1 sphere (HM) acting as such and starting as fair a war, in numerical terms, as possible, even moreso because we were expecting counters, just not as many as we got for obvious reasons lmfao. I'm obviously talking about last global where our skill and coordination got us to roll an opponent twice as big, and we graciously gave them white peace, not even the demand for an admission of defeat to spare them the embarrassment. Right now what we have is the aforementioned sphere acting on its own like advertised, and the rest blobbing together to avoid getting rolled in a fair fight, simply because we're more competent than them. That's what we have this war and had last one. The main culprit is obviously Rose, whose weak leadership seems to only know one way of doing FA and war: gather as many meatshields as possible, namely getting military support by sucking !@#$ of everyone (not paper tied to them) they feel they need in order to win. As an old player, I'm not used to this kind of !@#$ approach, I'm used to strong leaders like Partisan or Pre gathering support through respect, which is how for instance Pre managed to put people, that absolutely hated each other at least IC (like Roq and Partisan), together to join efforts vs what at the time had been the longest hegemony the game had ever known, lead by TKR, who by the way have changed a lot since then, especially thanks to Adrienne who got dealt one of the shittiest hands possible and managed to keep them together after several rollings. What this current cowardly approach can cause is a return to a bipolar world, where 1 far more competent sphere (in this case HM) see themselves always getting dogpiled by what supposedly are minispheres like them. That's actually pretty much the story of the old Syndisphere, a group of alliances that essentially banded together as a response to a permanent threat in Paragon, Covenant, Paracov or whatever you wanna call that shit. I for one think our current said minispheres should drop the act and own up to the fact that they can't fight alone, even with equal or slightly favorable numbers, and we can all return to the boring, stale bipolar world. Or we just keep pretending we're dynamic af by looking small on paper and then try to get everyone and their mother to have as lopsided a war as possible. So the question is: do we prefer no war or lopsided wars? Annswer: none, we can have fair wars, just not with weak leadership like we currently have from certain major alliances.
  15. Bahahahaha what a load of bs, HM should have at least asked for an admission of defeat after you and your meatshields got rekt in the 2:1 dogpile a few months ago. You're even more pathetic than I thought lmfao. Enjoy your righteous war against the evil hegemony.
  16. I look forward to the usual HM big bad hegemony spiel while fighting at least 2 top 5 alliances again, because that's not consolidation at all, with our without paper. Good luck enforcing the break-ups between the likes of Grumpy and Guardian, like it was tried in the past, I'm sure it'll work this time.
  17. Nah Rose was rekt with a 2:1 advantage along with their meatshields vs our sphere last war, so even though we let them off with white peace they want a 2nd dogpile but with more competent meatshields, aka t$. Congrats @Abbas Mehdiqt. <3
  18. Very graceful of HW to offer white peas, sparing Roasis of what would officially be the most humilliating L in Orbis history, after getting mauled by a coalition they outnumbered 2 to 1. I seriously seriously wanna see Rose dump all the fluff that surrounds them because they're too good for them. Happy rebuild.
  19. No offense but views and replies are meaningless. People just seem to seek trainwrecks, which is why every time Kastor posted, he usually got tons of views and replies... but he also got upvotes.
  20. They're too stupid to realize the FA consequences of a paperless treaty bandwagon into a dogpile. They're mostly allowed to exist (after having NPO's hand up their ass during Dial Up), because apparently Rose has never cared about the PR backlash of having them as meatshield. As stated before, this approach only leads, in the event of a perceived future threat, to any other parties like t$ sphere joining forces with the outnumbered set of alliances, thus resulting in the return to a bipolar world, which is the worst, most stagnation prone scenario. Better start sucking up to t$, Rose. Even with their sphere + our coalition we'd still be outnumbered vs yours, but y'all know full well you're surrounded by garbage, whereas the aforementioned parties have much more quality. Hopefully this doesn't end up biting you in the ass.
  21. I agree with you but the impact shouldn't be this big, especially when you're just promoting long attrition wars where numbers alone are enough to overwhelm an efficient war effort from an outnumbered coalition. Those aren't healthy mechanics imo.
