  1. This is a minor thing but from the personal Wars page from where we launch attacks the Alliance links of our opponents and ourselves are all broken. This is true of active and old wars. When you hover over the AA the id# is blank. Clicking it brings "That alliance does not exist.View Nation," Not to be confused with the War Activity page which works fine.
  2. Wow wasn't expecting this until next week. Oh well domino's have started falling into place now. GL rebuilding VE
  3. I'm actually down with a slight reduction as it would be interesting to see it overlapped with seasonal food production changes.
  4. You read my mind I'm working on the suggestion
  5. Solution: Join an alliance and request food aid. Tip: One man AA's don't count.
  6. This ain't getting through to you. Feel free to find religion at any point.

  10. Alex got tired of being spammed with whining about his radiation update so he shut everyone up by turning in game pms off. You guys hurt his feelings! Apologize and maybe he turn it back on!
  11. A fun little side excursion thanks for the causalities! Peace V
  12. A very ambitious game which is very exciting in theory. I hope it lives up to expectation especially given all the technology available and time invested. If there are any old school PC gamers who remember a game called Starflight from the 1980's that also had procedurally generated content . it had a similar open universe where you could go anywhere, explore literally hundreds of planets ( I think 800 total ) several of which could be landed on explored, various alien groups whom you could chat with as well as ship & crew upgrades. If all that was possible in the 1980's on a floppy drive, No Mans Sky game better deliver in 2016 !! .
  13. Why not make cyber attack = -1 or -2 AP
  14. I actually was thinking of an idea to add different selection of bonuses for treasures. I'll make separate thread for it later
  15. I have put together a comprehensive list of suggestions for tweaking the current military setup. I realize there may be others who have had similar ideas but these are purely my thoughts I've put together. In the interest of avoiding long walls of text I have kept this simple by only posting my most basic notes for clarity's sake. Soldiers & Tanks - Max soldiers should be based on population size and NOT a fixed number per barracks. Instead each barracks just allow you to recruit X amount per day. - Perhaps something like 25% of total population as a max soldier cap. - Increase the amount of soldiers that can be recruited per day per barracks [Note: Having a population based cap allows nations that have invested more into deep infrastructure to have something tactically to show for it vs a nation with more cities but less infra. A general counterbalance] - Originally I had the idea to curb down Tank to Soldier dmg ratio from 1:40 to 1:15 (currently 1,000 tanks = 40,000 soldiers but should be 1,000 tanks = 15,000 soldiers ) - However expanding on that idea as an alternative I thought adding more diverse military units could be used to add a layer of strategy and balance to ground attacks. Each unit would have slightly different cost per unit but the same upkeep costs. Assault troops ($2 Cost)- Are the front line fighters best for soldier vs soldier attacks. Anti Tank Troops ($6 Cost) - Specialized troops for countering tank units but slightly less effective vs soldiers. Medic Troops ($4 Cost) - These units specialize in saving the lives of their fellow soldiers and can reduce the number of soldier deaths lost in attacks. They are also the weakest for direct combat. :A quick guide for comparing troop unit strengths: Assault Troops - 15:1 vs Tanks | 1:2 vs Anti Tank Troops | 1:4 vs Medic Troops Anti Tank Troops - 5:1 vs Tanks | 2:1 vs Assault Troops | 1:2 vs Medic Troops Medic Troops - 40:1 vs Tanks | 4:1 vs Assault Troops | 2:1 vs Anti Tank Troops [Note: in essence 1000 tanks = 5000 Anti Tank or 15,000 Assault or 40,000 Medics ] Also I haven't figured out the exact method for determining medic soldiers ability to reduce soldier dmg Missiles I think changing missiles to directly target units gives someone greater tactical maneuvering. - Allow missiles to directly target Soldiers, Tanks, Ships, or Infrastructure . - Missile damage towards Soldiers, Tanks and Ships are randomly capped at 2% - 6% of total Soldiers, Tanks or Ships 7%-15% missile damage for Tanks totaling 1999 or less Air Force - More variety of aircraft; (which cost different amount of aluminum to make) Strategic bomber (6 Alum) = Most Dmg to infrastructure, tanks, soldiers but moderate to shoot down Stealth bomber (8 Alumn) = Less Dmg to infrastructure, tanks, soldiers but hard to shoot down Air-superiority fighter (4 Alumn) = Best for countering attack aircraft & bombers and can also target ships for moderate dmg [doesn't have an effect on soldiers, tanks or infra] Strike fighter (2 Alumn) = moderate effective at countering other attack fighters & bombers and can also target ships for high dmg [doesn't have an effect on soldiers, tanks or infra] [Note: To clarify only bombers can attack infrastructure, tanks, & soldiers and only fighters can counter other planes and target ships.] Naval Ships I thought the current setup where ships can not defend themselves from air attacks seems silly so I came up with several naval units with unique capabilities. Frigates - Are meant to be cheapest ships primarily for Ship to Ship & Ship to Air engagements. They are susceptible to attacks by Submarines & Missiles. Destroyer - Are the strongest ships designed for eliminating threats in Ship to Ship and Ship to Sub engagements. They are susceptible to attacks by Air Fighters & Missiles. Cruisers - Well rounded balanced vessels equipped to counter all threats Ship, Sub & Air. They are susceptible to attacks by Missiles. Submarines - Underwater predators that specialize in ship to ship engagements. They are susceptible to attacks by Destroyers & Cruisers. However they are the ONLY naval units immune to missiles and air fighter attacks. :A quick guide for comparing ships: (With amount of Steel Req per ship) [Note: Dmg only represents my way of gauging the ships strength compared to other ships. I have not translated what that would equate to directly in game] Frigate (15 Steel) - Anti ship/air [5dmg] Destroyer (25 Steel) - Anti ship/sub [8dmg] Cruiser (35 Steel) - Anti ship/sub/air [6dmg] Submarine (50 steel) - Anti ship *immune to air attacks & missiles [7 dmg] [Note: The idea behind air defense naval units is if you launch an air strike against a naval unit with air defense abilities you will likely loose some planes to the naval vessels in the engagement even if you succeed. That's on top of any damage you receive from the air defenses units they may have.] [Note: Yes i know in RL destroyers can defend against Air attacks but for here it's just for game balance so salute the flag & cry me a river lol] Final comments: The overall idea is to allow everyone to mix up various unit setups in all 3 military branches in order to change up how military operations and tactics are employed and hopefully create greater balance in both offense and defense operations. Please feel free to discuss or ask questions.
  16. I hear captcha's were made by foreign powers to undermine our way of life. Thanks Alex.
  17. I'm not anti-gun,I'm anti-bullshit ! I like to live in the world of sensibility and reason not BS & reactionary fear mongering propaganda. - I have nothing against sensible gun ownership and people being honest with wanting guns because they enjoy it as hobby and like going hunting ect. that's perfectly reasonable. There are places like in Alaska where bears roam in great numbers where having a gun makes solid sense. It doesn't require a machine-gun but you wouldn't want to be face to face with bear bare handed. - What I get sick of hearing about is people using the "self defense narrative " to an extreme like arming everyone to the teeth with firearms is somehow going to end gun violence. Having a gun doesn't make you a tough guy, doesn't make you a trained special ops member and doesn't endow you with the capabilities to handle yourself in a tense situation. I don't like people using their emotional insecurities as justification for needing a gun. Those types of people are the ones that get people killed. A !@#$ with gun is still a !@#$. Responsible and sensible gun owners recognizes that a gun is not a toy or an extension of your man hood but a tool. Use the tool if you must but don't become one! The debate over which specific guns should be limited is open to debate but should NOT fall into some fear mongering "they're taking all our guns away conspiracy frenzy". Clearly people on a terrorist watch list should not be able to buy guns but because groups like the NRA are only interested in gun sales and profiteering the argument is now sidestepped. Also and yes background checks and blocking various watch lists suspects from buying guns wont end all gun violence any more than locking your door at night guarantees you wont be invaded by burglars but isn't it reasonable to close those avenues the same way you lock your door.
  18. The problem is he also claimed to support Hezbollah a group at odds with ISIS. Just because he claims affiliation with some causes doesn't mean he knows a damn thing about it In the old days they used to blame this kind of violence on video games or rap music. People who want to commit this kind of violence don't need to be part of a radical religion rather they simply look for things that support their violent angry personal ideology and cling to it and claim to support it. Chances are the reasoning behind this was NOT his devout religious beliefs but something more personal. Wouldn't surprise me if the guy was gay himself but hiding it from himself out of shame and built up his own self hatred. Pass... However comparing identity groups that apply to people and gun owners is bit of a stretch. For the record no one has suggested that all gun owners are dangerous only that excessive high powered guns that are easily accessible are.
  19. In America mass shootings are not a new occurrence and they happened long before ISIS was in existence. However I guess the narratives of blame the Muslims, foreigners and gays is popular among the right wingers these days so just ignore the inconvenient facts that don't line up.
