o/ Fistandantilus o/ Yui Well, I didn't get to talk to Fist directly, but: From what I understand, Pantheon was supposed to launch a strike on UPN and VE right before reset, as agreed upon after talking with our allies, but Fist overslept. As a result, we all sat around in IRC at the appointed time, waiting (no one had even told us who we were attacking, at that point), and nothing happened. Fist felt really bad about sleeping through the meeting, but honestly, who hasn't overslept from time to time, so I don't blame him. There's no shame in it! Then, before I knew it, he had stepped down and deleted his nation. Thus, busy IRL schedule = no more PnW. Sorry if our leaders (who did get to talk to Fist, so clearly know more than I) didn't want any gory details spilled, but honestly, I have a sieve for a brain so I'm never going to remember to say anything other than the honest truth -- as I've managed to piece it together -- in the days and weeks to come when people ask me, "What happened to Fist?" So again, it's just a really unfortunate situation about Fist, but Yui, Don, Chiester, Markonious, and others have all done a fine job stepping up to try to fill the void left by Fist's very sudden departure. We're all just going to do the best we can, for Fist. Disclaimer: Sorry in advance if I have unintentionally misrepresented something in this post. Just trying to let folks know what's what.

I never wanted to be #1 in the first place, so I don't mind Pantheon getting dethroned (just not boned). And was it predictable? Because I really thought we might hit one of the AAs hitting t$ or TKR directly, but after talking with our two MD-level allies, this was what we all (that is to say, our leaders and theirs) agreed upon, as Manthrax said.

I wish I had a way to tell him it's okay. D: Maybe he'll swing back around these forums or the Pantheon forums. I'll send him a message. Sounds about right based on (what little) I know. Don Juan hit "like" on this post, so that might be the closest thing to an explanation y'all will get unless one of our leaders makes a post about it.

Fistandantilus worked it out before he left, so we're honoring it. Hopefully there will be a more official explanation tomorrow or something. At the moment, we're still reeling from the loss of our leader. ;;

Well, time to whip up some fury, I guess.

VE cancelled?? Well, the treaty's certainly not on VE's alliance page anymore, but it's still on Pantheon's and I haven't seen a "Viridia Leaves the Shores of Pantheon" topic yet, so I guess it's still unfolding behind the scenes and we should expect to see more on that soon. That's a shame, I was looking forward to seeing where that relationship went and what it developed into, mainly because I didn't know much about VE as an alliance (beyond what I read in Alliance Affairs) back when it was first signed. Been interesting speaking to some of their members in their Embassy on our forums, too -- gives me another perspective on Orbis politics. Hopefully, they won't stop dropping by just 'cos our Relationship Status has changed.

I didn't respond to this before because I was in somewhat of a hurry, but... Judging by our current treaties, we have two with the Paragon bloc, one with t$ a.k.a. unofficial "Syndisphere" bloc, and now one with the Obsidian Order bloc (even if they tend to side with The Syndicate, I still count them as a separate bloc out of respect). I don't see any with the Covenant / UPN side. Yes, Paragon sides with the Covenant, like... all the time, but still, lol. As for which side Pantheon's on, Pantheon is on the side of its allies (and vice versa), even if those allies don't always see eye to eye. As for what that translates to in a military context, that will depend on individual circumstances. Can you give Don Juan's nation the Holy Grail in your story? I'm sure he'd appreciate it being associated with his nation again, even just in a Rozalia chronicle.
